scootzb Thanks goose39 !!

goose39 no worries, i know how id feel... i was looking at craigslist when i saw that and thought it was really suspicious. barely had a description, no mileage or anything, just said runs good for $1900 and something about leather interior, which is wayyy too cheap, with an email address for contact. as you said, i figured it was getting masked. everything matched to a T except for tires, steps, and a couple badges. ill keep an eye out once i get back to where its always sunny.

scootzb Looks like the craigslist post is already flagged for removal. I didn't have a sahara edition (I had a Sport) unless someone's trying to mask it as one and also call it a 2003. Ya never know! Thanks for looking out for it!

lane_Morris If you do find it make sure to take care of that guy.. Nobody knows the bonding between a man and his jeep until he has one... If you can't find it that gives you another excuse to build up a jeep into everything you have ever wanted! Good luck man hope you find it
01-22-2013 12:08 PM
ninjaturtle0 so sorry! and you actually caught up and saw the guy too! I bet that makes you even more pissed, I wish you the best of luck and I hope someone finds the losers and put them behind bars!!

stonewall_jeep oh man that just breaks my heart! seems like nothing you could have done just hope for the best and by the off chance it ends up in Rochester NY I'll be looking

scootzb It was stolen right outside of my house - parked on the street. Watching tv at 10:45pm, literally 15ft away when we heard the distinct sound of my jeep starting up. My wife gave me a jab with her elbow as we both realized, "That's the Jeep!!". We both ran outside without shoes on to see the bastard pulling out. I yelled and banged on the window, tried to open the door but it was locked.

This was no kid who stole my jeep. Older white/possibly hispanic guy wearing a black winter hat/beanie.
What stuck in my mind was his mustache. Dark and trimmed - almost hitler like.

There are plenty of jeeps in my neighborhood, stock and customized... They wanted mine for some reason.

We were the phone with the cops while the jeep was in sight and a cop pulled up within five minutes surprisingly. You couldn't have had a faster response time. And somehow he got away with it.
I always thought it would be foolish to steal a lifted jeep because it stands out so much and your definitely not going to outrun anybody in it.

I didn't have an alarm system or kill switch. And of course we were slacking on putting our club on - which may or may not have deterred the thief. Going forward, when I eventually get another jeep, I will definitely invest in security measures.

I can keep myself awake at night going over and over again the different ways I should have handled the situation but what's done is done.

The Philly cops don't have time to have me look over mug shots. They said they only do those for homicides and burglaries. I just want some justice because these bastards are just gonna go out and steal more vehicles.

Thanks everyone for your attention and for keepin' an eye out.
