|Stephen102938||Sounds like u are also in need of a pitman arm drop kit. The drag link and tie rod should be just about parallel, any major differences will result in the bump steer that u are experiencing|

x2, lose pitman arms and bad wheel hubs are two major causes I've run into.
For a wheel hub, jack the front wheel and move the tire. If there is any slop, its the wheel hub allowing the tire to wander.
For the pitman arm, have someone move the steering wheel slightly back and forth. The pitman arm SHOULD NOT tip on the splines of the steering box. If it tips at all, you'll need to add a washer or two and re-torque it.
Tie rod ends and drag link ends are also major causes, none should have any play in them.

I even took it one more step and went to a second shop to see if they both said the same work was needed. Then picked the shop I felt the best about.

Here is the laundry list. Check ball joints, tie rod ends, steering gear box, steering column intermediate shaft u joints, lower column bearing. Wheel hubs, ujoints in front axles, tire rotation, tire balance and front end alignment. After just replacing everything since it was 24 years old and worn out I still had a significant wander and oversteer. The front end alignment fixed that I now have positive steering with no oversteer. Tire pressures play in the game also.

I know that I'm not the only person that has asked this and I know I won't be the last. I traded for my Jeep lifted already and everything and the steering is god awful, f you hit the slightest dip in the road it jerks extremely bad. It's practically a death trap to drive on the road, in the trails it does great. It has the classic "axle flip kit" spring under axle conversion and a 2-1/2" body lift. It has a steering stabilizer on it and the wheel bearings seem to be good, I just need some pointer as in what I need to do so I can drive it more often. All advise accepted. Thanks
