brachilius I fixed 8 of the body mounts today. The drivers side floor pan has been replaced. The passenger side floor pan was cut out. All rust has been sprayed with 3 coats of rust converter. I have to trim the passenge side floor pan and weld it in. I also transferred the fuel lines off the old frame and onto the rolling chassis. I cut up the old frame to take to the scrap yard. All that it left on the tub are the two rear body mounts plus the passenger side floor pan. Then...on the rolling chassis! Hopefully it can all be completed this week.

GoldenSahara00 37s on the d30 is askin for trouble in the long or short term. I would stick w 35s. The difference isn't enough to be worth the $ in repairs down the road. I was at the same decision and I'm building a front axle to run the bigger tires.

brachilius Yep. 4.10s front and rear. Just a toy for me and my boys.
11-09-2013 05:28 PM
GoldenSahara00 They might be. You have a 30/8.8 right?
11-09-2013 11:22 AM
brachilius I am faced with an option. On craigslist I found 37" irocs on steelies. I am wondering if they are just too big. I could try to trade my 35s for them. Thoughts? I also just scored mopar floor pans, brand new, for $30. Sweet!
11-08-2013 05:46 PM
89Saharagreen Yeah I am going to try that tonight but don't think it will make enough of a difference

brachilius Loosen the clamp and rotate it up. Retighten.

89Saharagreen Ok so this steering bolt is hitting the leave spring in the passenger side when I try to turn the steering wheel?

Any ideas?
11-06-2013 08:53 AM
89Saharagreen I actually bought it from a guy who pulled it from a 74 jeep j truck. I have to regear it but I have all those parts waiting on me to install the heavy thing!
11-05-2013 08:56 PM
tigerblood Nice. What did you yank it out of?

brachilius Old frame is officially out and in the driveway. Time to remove the tank and transfer the fuel lines to the new frame. I found a couple more rust holes in the frame. Wow...it is SHOT! I also need to repair 8 body mounts. The rear mounts broke completely from the tub. I figure I will add 3/16 plate across the rear of the tub for strength. I am also going to replace the front floor pans. The PO did but really did a 1/2 assed job. It is a cheap repair in the grand scheme of things. Pics to follow.

brachilius Very easy to tint. I used the gun that came in the kit. I used summit urethane paint in dodge viper red.
