its a 350 SBC Chevy , its going to put out a little power than the stock six that I have in the YJ by about 300 hp. Still not sure if I am going to put it in. Now just checking what tranny to use etc. After I decide what all the costs will be I will make up my mind.

I have been putting this little monster together the project car is now sold should I drop it in the YJ. What do you think?
05-18-2014 08:34 PM
BCDonny I feel electric is the way to go no cable to run, I never had a problem with a electric choke
05-18-2014 07:28 PM
PhilthyPhil0351 Think I have the pcv issue solved, did you stay with the electric choke or go to manual choke on your new carb?
05-15-2014 02:37 PM
PhilthyPhil0351 I noticed in your picture the front Is the pcv valve and the rear looks like just An elbow...I was having hot start issues with my jeep and replaced the air filter, pcv filter and put a pcv valve on the rear opening due to oil getting in. Do I need to make that an elbow again? I have noticed now that I am getting oil pushing through my seals although my oil gauge doesn't show any increase ins pressure.

Mad-Mudder Are you going to use argon gas Or gasless flux core ? I would start with .30 wireless Flux until you get good enough to lay a bead .. I'm a state certified pipe welder , if you have any questions about welding you can pm me and I'll help you out..

Your Jeep Looks great!

I just finished my 87 YJ but I went a little further and yanked the 4 cylinder out and replaced it with 71 318 V8 hooked up to a NV3550 trans. I did a lot of custom work to the interior custom dash rear speakers and center console. 4 inch lift (rough country I like it too) 33/12.5 MT's

Hajdukcw Definitely going to be following your thread from here on. I have a 89' Islander and I have to agree with you about the decals, not really my style. Your Jeep looks amazing though hopefully in time "Daisy II" will look that way also. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the advice on the Carb and HEI.
