New Power Steering Pump, Belt and Alternator.
Power Steering Pump
Checked/re-did numerous connections trying to figure out why she wouldn't start the other day. Replaced starter wiring, new battery leads, oil/filter change. Installed tailpipe hanger and painted the entire tailpipe black with hi-temp spray paint.
Yesterday I got the quarter windows and vented installed in the hardtop. Need to re-do weatherstrip and then it'll be ready to go on the YJ....even if I'm not ready for hardtop weather.

|WrangledMike||Put the new fuel pump in and mounted the tank and fired up my jeep for the first time. Runs rough so still have plenty of work to do|

Got a 3/8" thick custom cut plate then mounted the ENGO e9000 winch onto it, then welded the plate onto the bumper. Needed a place to mount my roller bearing for the cable so I cut up two 3/16" thick angle steel then welded it onto my bumper. I think it turned out great.
Now I have to decide between making a bracket to hold the solenoid box above the winch since its too tight or to mount it under hood.

|TigWizard||Since I took the tip off my thumb yesterday, I won't be doing much. Maybe I can bribe my neighbor with a case of beer to change out my slip yoke and universals?|

|RawhideClab||^yeah. First one had a faulty voltage regulator and would spike for a couple of seconds then be fine for a few minutes then spike fine spike fine. So warranted that one and the second one charged for not even 5 minutes and died. I think I am gonna save up for a mean green one.|

Added an American flag. drove it on the highway and now its shredded. Also hit up the park and took a nap in my hammock. No longer need two trees to post up.

|RawhideClab||Finally on the third attempt I got a new alternator that works!|
|09-10-2014 06:23 PM|
Yeah, I want those headlights.
Can they do LED turn lights too?

|toddster8||^ Dunno... the one that was already on the Jeep? It seems to be sized specifically to fit on the Jeep frame and bumper. The bolt holes all lined up, however, the bolts that came with the new winch were not long enough to go through the plate and the bumper. Had to use the old ones (barring a trip to town to buy more.) Also the fairlead is wider than the old one and since the plate wasn't quite flush with the bumper, it required some spacers.|

Replaced the non-working HF winch with a new HF winch. (...er, yeah. Slow learner. And cheap.) Didn't realize that I was going to have to take the whole bumper assembly off to get access to the bolt heads.
Then I took the old winch motor apart, blew about two spoon-fulls of corrosion product out of it, and freed up a couple of frozen brushes. Gotta go to the boat and borrow a big-ass circuit breaker to test it with. If it works, I'll mount the old one on my equipment trailer.
Speaking of circuit breakers, the goofy one that came with the new winch doesn't fit any way any how in my engine compartment. (The old one was installed without any kind of circuit protection at all !) I sent away for an appropriately-sized fuse holder and ANL fuse. But now I'm thinking maybe I'd better get a Blue Sea circuit breaker. I can just imagine being stuck out in the snow and popping my one fuse...
BTW, the Blue Sea battery-terminal fuses are pretty slick - I have those on the boat, but WAY expensive.

[QUOTE="Monster93;13300186"] Are the headlights available with the inside black instead of chrome?[/QUOTE
Unfortunately no. I would prefer it that way as well.

My custom LED headlights are mounted and aimed pretty good at this point. They will be going into production shortly through Black Mamba Off-road. I think they are going to sell for $300. What do you guys think. Here are some day and night pics

|YJ_JEEP||Just dropped my engine block off at the local machine shop. It's getting checked and cleaned. Should get it back in a few days. Got my head looked at along with a valve job done, about a week ago. Taking the block apart was pretty easy. But I will be nervous until I get it back together and it starts and runs good.|

|DShroka||Replaced steering stabalizer|

I used relays in mine just in case but I'd rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
|09-08-2014 03:54 PM|
To relay or not to relay LED spot lights? Says 20w on them? I know LEDs don't use a lot of power. I'll be running a fuse block between the lights and switch.
