|FiteClub||Riding a pretty good wave streak right now... At least 7 or 8 returned waves in a row over the weekend cruising around the back roads outside of town.|

^^ Sunglare! GBurkett I bet they just couldn't see you wave because you are now up higher!!! Or they were so dazzled by your 35 it momentarily left them lost in a fantasy of doing their own mods or heads down in shame over their little tires with eyes downcast in a gesture of humble subservience that they missed your wave! No worries - you'll retrain them
(Btw you are my inspiration - I'm in the process of "training" the 2-3 I see daily passing in the westbound lane around 5:30 weekdays - I mean - how does 1 billet NOT wave to another billet? I can be very persistent!)

|gburkett||Just put on my 35's and lost all my stock waives. Had all I past waiving when I was stock. Today I got 0 returned from the ones I had trained to waive back.|

|Dusthol||Got a night wave. Of course the intersection was well lit.|

LoL. Y'all this stuff is great.

I wave at every Wrangler, even if they don't appear to wave back, etc., as does my "mini-me" in the backseat. (She prefers the "peace sign" Jeep Wave as her official greeting.")
If they look at me funny, I chalk it up to the fact one day they'll learn about the Wave and go "ohhhh, so that's why strangers have been waving at me for three years..."
PS: I get the least responses from JKU hard tops...including men. (They must be thinking about what to make for their ladies for dinner...)

|roberthleeii||I think I have offended 2 or 3 jeepers this week. I waved at 2 or 3 people and then they looked at me like I killed their dog! don't know what I am doing wrong|

As for waving, I don't wave *every time* because it's often real clear when another driver isn't paying attention and not seeing me, but I never snub a wave I receive, and wave at least 90% of the time anyway. (Holla atcha TJ ladies!)

|Kimi725||I drive a TJ! I love her|

I will say, the 3 most common vehicles in my area are 1- Subarus, 2- Wranglers (all versions CJ-JK), 3- Cherokees (real Cherokees/XJ's). Few TJ's are owned by ladies, but most of the 4drs are driven by women and surprisingly, the women wave more than the guys. And it's usually the younger women (21-35ish from the ones I know). Either way, just wave. It's a Jeep thing, not a gender thing. For me it's not a wrangler specific model thing either. I've had a CJ, YJ, 2 TJ's, and an XJ. I have always waved and returned to all models. People need to stop thinking "my Jeep is better than yours so I'm not gunna wave" cuz that's not what it was ever about. It was about a common interest. Those of us that have a more adventurous side and didn't want to settle for a car/truck/SUV. No matter what your wallet and skill can do to your Wrangler, they all started out stock.

|Kimi725||I think so too! I love mine. It was my way of saying we're not Pusses, we don't run from mouthy men.|

And that's not even to mention the death and rape threats women get for expressing anything remotely upsetting.

|mueller23||I'm from Toledo, home of the Jeep and every YJ, TJ, or rare CJ will wave with almost no exceptions! However JK's almost never wave. If it's driven by a young guy, sometimes they'll wave. If it's a woman - no matter her age - no wave EVER. Must be hard to think about what's for dinner and wave I guess.|

I am a stock Wrangler owner not because I don't want the lift and the large tires!! Because I'm to busy putting money in it, to just drive it I live in upstate NY, way upstate! I always give the piece sign to all Wrangler's and I'd have to say most do give a wave back or initiate it if I'm not paying attention. The only one's who seem to snub their noses up are the new 4 door Wranglers! Guess their just better than me

|EPM81||Got a 'soccer mom JKU' wave the other day. Separated highway and the look on her face was,"Wait, do I know this person? Why am I waving?" Hahahaha|
|09-17-2014 12:28 AM|
|flowerfistandbestialwail||Got my first ever honk the other day. Was waiting at a red to make a right turn east and when the oncoming eastbound traffic stopped at their fresh red there was a lil stock JK at the front of one lane who honked when I didn't wave, figuring them to be too far away to notice even if they did care. Promptly made an enthusiastic albeit awkward wave while turning away from em and all was well|

|Huskie||About 2,500 miles during the past few days, from MN to CA and back. Not many waves, and I even passed though Moab.|

was leaving the grocery store tonight when 2 jeeps come rolling through
first was a 4 door driven by a woman who didnt even acknowledge me
2nd was a 4 door driven by a man. he started tooting his horn and flashing a peace sign at me.
cracked my wife up and made my day

I ran completely stock (on the outside) for a good year...small upgrades until last weekend (2 1/2 years old) and I must say that 90% of the time here in Delaware I get the wave.
I have noticed though that it is very rare on separated highways. Mostly get waves from the guys with no doors on the seperated roads. 2 lane highways...it's happening...doesn't matter what year, upgrades, or who is in it.
What I have noticed more recently though are the blacked out interior ones and it's difficult to see anything inside...not sure what those guys/gals are doing.

|ffpd266||I have two pet peeves. One is people that do not use turn signals. The other is other jeep owners that do not wave back. I wave to all. Does not matter if it is stock (mine is for now), xtreme set-up or in between. But what is worse to me is jeep owners that do not use turn signals AND DO NOT WAVE!!! C'mon people, it is not rocket science. OK, I know using a turn signal requires manual dexterity, but a wave??? It's natural and it brings a smile to your face!!!!|

|gburkett||Think I have finally have all my locals trained to wave back. I give and receive from most every jeep I pass on my daily commute now.|

I would rather drive my shiny stocker that is muddy and scuffed underneath than a budget boosted posing pouch.
Everyone gets a wave from me.
Good choice, 2014 Sahara Unlimited here too.
