Stretch it he said
Plans change, I'm stretching it. $50 buck a pop for the F150 springs. That's a reasonable price. With the SOA and F150 springs it should give me about 9-10" of lift including the 1.5" shackles I have.
One problem, I have to get it out of the garage.

Got the 14 bolt, working on getting the Dana 60. Thinking on stretching the YJ. From what I've read, F150 leaf springs work pretty good. I'll go check the price at the local bone yard tomorrow.

Ok, after all the searching and texting I think I have the one. I pick it up Saturday morning. It's cleaned and ready to be converted to disc brakes. Cost is $75 (great price) but it's a 2 hr drive. Hell, I have more time than money!

|daddyjeep||Are you considering a steering 14 bolt axle? I would love to build one of those. I will probably build a 609 eventually though.|

Working the Craigslist tonight
I found a couple of killer deals on the 14 bolt tonight. One guy has 2 and wants $100 each, I think when I get there I'll offer him $150 for both. We shall see. I picked these up awhile back, they should work.

As you know, I was planning on putting the 8.8 and a SOA but things have changed. I have an insane, very talented young nephew whom is building my 383 stroker. (He is in the process of building a mega truck) He has convinced me to put 1 ton axles under the yj. Good thing is I can sell the 8.8 for the same price as a 14 bolt rear. The front axle will be either a Dana 60 (not cheap $) or next best would be a 44 out of a 78-79 f250.
This should be fun....thanks for reading and my computer is shot, I'm updating on my wife's iPad. She's at work!
