wcbardwell You're welcome... I just learned that myself... I was curious, so I looked it up.

Mudder Edition

Beach Comber Edition

Rock Crawler Edition

Dune Buggy Edition

Bare Bones Edition....Nothing but seats, steering wheel, engine, transmission, wheels. ($15,000 MSRP)
I like this idea! Equip each version specifically for the task at hand with paint, shoes, etc. appropriate to the moniker:

Jungle Edition - Mudders with A/C and soft top

Mountain Edition - Rock crawlers with a hardtop

Desert Edition - Beige with a snorkel filter and bikini top

Swamp Edition - ram air snorkel and mudders

Urban Edition - 18 inch wheels and chrome

JandS CJx, with the X being a number

Perhaps CJ9 for 2drs and CJ10 for 4drs?

I also think they need to bring back the "Wagoneer" name, although there are rumors that they already have that planned.

If they're going to continue with Wranglers, bring back the "Islander" edition - 1/2 doors, soft top, with Rubi off road goodies. When I was a kid I loved that classic 80's "Islander" decal on the sill!

Another cool edition would be the "Levis" edition - google it!

AjeepnamedDug How about a marriage of Jeep and Chrysler . The Jeep Power Wagon ?

LMH I would love to see a newer version of the Super Jeep! Or how about a Daisy Duke model? I see more women driving jeeps here in Indiana then I do men sometimes.

David M I've always admired the name on this distant Sahara Tan-ish relative...

Laredo on CJs was a goodie also.

I think it's great to periodically honor an icon, and to continue traditions. The 2014 Corvette for example will once and again be called a Stingray.

Ibex is good too.

1,000,000,000% agree... I hated that they threw it on the Liberty... I would love to see it come back to the Wrangler...

Rtone1583 How about the Mistress edition? Afterall, they do take time and money away from a significant other who you would have otherwise spent that time and money with/on.

It would only be available in red or black and soft top only so that it would be easier to "undress".

ed98208,

Nice catch. IBEX it is! That's what happens when you have a tiny little keyboard, the x next to the c, fat fingers and no proofread.

And yes, the IBEX on the dam is nothing less than the classic photo of "The World's Greatest Climber", a truly great fitting name for a new Jeep model.

They have to be using more energy climbing that dam then that moss could give them lol.

Jakebar777 The zombie hunting addition! Complete with a bayonetted grill and mountable machine guns. Killing the dead and looking awesome!

I'm a sucker for special editions. My last two vehicles were special editions (my Jeep is an Arctic). Of all the ideas posted here, I think this is my favorite. Mainly because I like the idea of an all blacked out Jeep.
