85CJ I'm definitely leaning towards the AEV hood for many reasons, but like the look of the X hood too including its windshield bumpers and footman loop. I have found the X hood to be slightly cheaper, but not significant enough to be a deciding factor. Thanks for the input!

cornfedksboy I believe the AEV is significantly cheaper as well. Either will look good!

Mikel01 The AEV hood is fully functional. Under hood temp is much cooler and no more highway hood flutter. Perfect fit too. I had Moab decals made as the Oem are Too long.

Need some fellow MOAB feedback on hood replacement

I am looking to change my hood and am stuck deciding between the AEV heat reduction hood and the Rubicon X or 10A hood. I will get MOAB decals made regardless of hood.

I like the look of the X hood, but the AEV retains the original lines for our edition.

Any thoughts? Anybody put the X on their MOAB, pics?

Mikel01 The Moab is a great platform to build on. It's cool that everybody has their own view.

AverageJK I took some new photos today. Bushwacker flat fenders, JCR Offroad bumper, Warn Zeon 10, Fox ATS 2.0 are all the new parts so far. I've still got a pile waiting to be installed.

AverageJK It will give someone instant non mall crawler status if they claim they did the damage to it.

Day Dreamer Just come up with a bad arse story on how it got scraped and the value will rise even more!! They will be in amazement
07-05-2014 06:36 PM
AverageJK At least I can sell the AEV front bumper and it will pay for my new bumper and then some. I just wish I it was in perfect condition and not scraped up on the corner.

Day Dreamer Pshhh everyone and their mom has a rubicon and the 10a! Yeaaa maybe if u didn't want the bumpers or crappy hood I can see where your coming from, but you have the Moab cuzcuz! It's one of a kind when you do some mods. I've had so many ppl ask me what a Moab is and it's funny as heckk. I say "a Moab is another word for fun" and leave it at that. Plus even people with the rubicon usually end up replacing the lockers if they wheel hard enough anyways.

Day Dreamer I like the bushwAcker fenders with the aev bumper, I might get that set up if I need more clearance. I don't like bumpers lining up with the fenders. Reminds me of European jeeps for some reason
