wrix You get the code by calling the dealership with your radio serial number and vin number. I actually left mine on the front for an annual inspection. Done free of charge.

OrangeJeepGuy Would a P05091327AC work? I think they are from a Chrysler T&C.

cprsac Ok, I've paid the price and read all pages of the forum.

I have a 2014 Rubi with the 130 system. Do I have anti theft? If so, how do I get the code so I can sell the unit?

I have Connectivity/Bluetooth and Sirus so what 430 (no-nav) unit do I need to look for? What year forward, high speed, etc?

Aerosmith So the Jeep arrived, and I picked it up late last night. Fast forward to this evening, and I'm taking apart my dash to install the new RBZ that I ordered earlier in the thread. Installation really was as simple as it was made out to be - no, really. If there is anyone reading this now or in the future, I can assure you, I am less mechanically inclined than you are, and yet I was able to accomplish this install in less than 20 minutes without any other instruction than that linked in the first post. There are 4 bolts for the dash, another 4 for the radio, unplug, replug, done. I highly recommend it if you think you might even possibly like it, just make sure you get the right radio (HIGH SPEED BUS) and the right mounting holes (left and right of the radio, not top and bottom). Cheers, and thanks again to everyone here that contributed. Cheers!

AdamG8GXP Thanks for all the info.

I just ordered JKU w/ Willys Wheeler W w/ 130S, connectivity and Alpine so I will be able to plug and play 430N eventually.

RustyJK I just installed my 430 today, managed to luck out and get anti theft, upgrade able to the newest software and green backlighting.. Love it so far.

Now I just need to try and transfer my free year of Sirius and get my iphone to pair.. I don't think my jailbreak wants to play nice, another iphone paired just fine but my jailbroken one wouldn't connect.

Aerosmith Looks like I won that auction; now all I need is a Jeep to put it in! Thanks again to everyone that contributed to this thread, super helpful information.

After reading all 20 pages of this thread (and half of the thread linked in the initial posting), I think I'm going to just buy an RBZ unit and install it myself - I did purchase the connectivity group with the rubicon, so that won't be an issue, it should be plug and play, based on the information I have gleaned from these threads. I put a bid on this unit, not the cheapest, but good information and if it is, in fact, never used, should be right:

If anyone could confirm, I'd sure appreciate it, but it looks like it'll be just right for my new JKU when it comes in, unless there's something about the 2014 models I have missed when reading the posts. Thanks guys for all the great information!

Looks OK... High Speed Bus, out of a T&C....tabs on the side.
Good luck!

I thought about it....but Ive been to lazy to even attempt to update the software of my 2010 rbz. It bothered me at first, but I don't even notice the Chrysler logo anymore.

I did with a 130 that had satellite before I got my 430. All I did was take thefts out and change them over to the other radio and gring the plastic holes off so it would fit. Not sure if you could do this with the 430 in a 130 case. But I use to work in car audio and a lot can be done to make it work. I've don't a lot of custom fitting jobs with cars that had the radios stolen out and people broke the dash to get them.

REPPO I thought about that, but would rather sell it and get a new one that fits correctly. unless nobody buys it...then ill chop away.
03-18-2014 09:50 AM
Burger16b You could always grim off the tabs and rig a way to fit it in. I did this with a 130 radio that had satellite before I got my 430.
03-18-2014 08:36 AM
REPPO Guess ill just sell it. damn...good price too.

Ok I think that's the answer I am looking for
Above advise suggests the USB port on the 430 unit just above the little 1/8 plug will charge and operate features on an iPhone
Does this sound correct
Please note I do not have " u connect "
Thanks much

Jeffcs I did order premium sound system and am enjoying sound now before the warm weather gets here and I take hard top off
Thank you much
I think if store where I ordered was more knowledgeable I might have ended up with connectivity and the 430 not all on them I had idea of exactly what I wanted

The 430rbz (non-nav) will get you:
A touch screen
A hard-drive
A dvd player
A USB port on the radio

Not sure if that is worth $695 to you. If you ordered the Premium sound system, you are better off finding a used 430 or 430N (if you ordered Sirius) and installing it yourself. If you didn't order Premium sound, you are probably better off going aftermarket.

The Connectivity package provide a USB port inside the center console/armrest, along with bluetooth and such.

Now, my guess is that Jeep read the 430rbz thread and jumped in for the 2014 by offering it on the Sports. Of course they screwed it up early on by somehow only including ONE USB port (radio) when someone ordered Connectivity AND the 430rbz in a Sport. But outside of that snafu, if you ordered Connectivity and a 430/430N/730N, you got two USB ports.

I got the 430 (non-nav) in my JKU. Hindsight being 20/20, I would been fine without it. I don't want nav (my phone has it). It does have a hard drive, which is nice for storage of music. But, just speaking personally, I would've been just as happy without it. I didn't custom order my JKU, it was inbound for inventory, so that's sorta how I wound up with the 430. Also, I find the screen a bit distracting at times (especially night driving). Keep in mind that my eyes are very light-sensitive, so it may not be a common issue for others.

It isn't the 130 vs 430, it is the Connectivity package you are missing.

Blkfenderslookbetter 20 minutes... TOTAL plug n' play. Amazing! No pairing of the phone... blah blah blah. It just works perfect.

I got a 430N RBH from a 2013 Jeep. Love it. It was the only option I really wanted on the Sport that I couldn't have without paying for a Rubicon.

I don't know if it's just in my head, but it does seem to have more power than my 130S did. Does anybody know if that's true?

Nice! It's rare to get one from the Volkswagen Routan. All the RBZ's I owned came from Chrysler Town & Country vans. The most rare units come from Ferrari California's.
