|Ivoryring||I've delt with them before the merger, when they were just Sirius - and I've come to expect "interesting" customer service. My approach with the company is this: Keep talking to them until you have things pretty much the way you want - and then don't talk to them no matter what!|

I have an old XM MiFi radio for the house that quit working. I paid for three years up front for the service to get the discount.
When I called them to discontinue the service and get a refund they turned off my Jeep Sirius service that I had just renewed for a year! It took me 30 minutes on the phone to get it turned back on.
I am still paying for the broken XM radio service.

|Ivoryring||I had a strange interaction with SiriusXM (btw, their customer support reps are... pretty bad - be prepared and be patient) - I switched to Pioneer head unit with SiriusXM, and it looks like they moved my 12 month trial without a problem simply because they couldn't understand what I was asking for. Either that or they are going to charge my CC (that they have on file for my other Sirius radios) without any discussion at all about total or monthly price. Particularly bizarre because they started out telling me I couldn't have both Sirius and SiriusXM on the same account (which seems contrary to the SiriusXM web page) ... and then after being on hold when they talked to their manager it was "ok, you are activated".|

But yes, it's up to the dealer to submit your info to Sirius.

|panthermark||I'm think it is the dealer that turns on the trial subscription during prep....so there might be a chance that you could get the radio swapped before it is turned on....but that could depend on the dealer. Honestly, I don't know....|

|lewisz7hunter||Ok, thats what I was afraid of. I thought maybe there was a slim chance that the dealer just sets that up once it gets there, and maybe I could stop the process. Panthermark I think I read your thread where you basically had to call them out on their customer service to get it switched. I guess I will do the same.|

It does come activated...
It is a pain in the rump to get Sirius to switch it over. They standardly don't do it.
It took 3 emails and a phone call for me to get mine switched over.

|Moabite||Mine came activated from the factory...at least that's what the dealer said. I'm not sure that the free subscription is transferable to another radio since it is tied to the radio ID.|

Sirius radio switch-over
I plan on upgrading to the 430n as soon as my '13 jk gets here. It is coming from the factory with the connectivity group and sirius radio. Can anyone tell me if the sirius radio comes activated, or if I can wait to activate my subscription on the new 430n?
<> also from my forum search of 430n's, am I correct that if I have the connectivity package, I do not need the dealer to install/flash anything, and can do it myself?
