I've been considering the shorty armor lite for the past several months. Couple questions for those of you that already have this bumper.
I called Jeep Add-ons for pricing and asked the second question and the guy on the phone said he didn't know.

|ksuequip||if you just use the 4 spaces that came off the stock bumper and place between the LOD and frame mounts you will create enough space so the cables don't rub. I just put this exact setup on 2 days ago. It all works great together and looks great.|

However, putting a spacer between the bumper and the frame should work as well. You might need to get longer bolts for the bumper tho and I figured this would be easier.
Palehorse... Not sure how deep it cut it but my was rubbed some to the point there was a small black groove in it. I just touched it up with some TouchUp paint and you can barily tell where it was at... Just throwing that out there.

Meh depends on how fussy you are. I ran it for a while without my spacers, the wires were just pushing against my grill which I didn't like so I made this. (Palehorse has ran his for about a year with no issues).
For what its worth total cost to make the spacers was about $9 (including a bunch of bolts that I bought that were the wrong length.) Plus it took like 2 or 3 hours (with goofing off). Super easy and cheap but not needed if you don't want to.

Figured I would update this thread with what I figured out. Searched around and found a thread where someone made a simple but but perfect spacer for his solenoid so I copied that. Worked perfect for my needs.
Gave me about and inch of clearance between my grill and the wires I was pleased with my results.

Hmm... I need to pop my bumper for another reason, so I think I'll add some of those spacers when I put it back on.
My biggest problem with this setup is that I have to remove the entire bumper/winch in order to pull the grill. I think that's a common problem, but it's still a total PITA! lol
The other problem is that the Engo10000S winch cables barely reach the battery... another PITA.

YES, that is the factory spacers
I added 3/16" more. just a piece of steel i had that was 3/16" thick and drilled two 1/2" holes into and painted black. washers could work too.

here's a pic looking behind the bumper at the spacers:
It's hard to see the one i made 3/16" extra but you can see the factory one (the shoulders or wings are on top sticking out a little).
and looking down the grill:
Now the winch doesn't touch the grill and there's room for the winch power cables to run down under the grill (not thru my mesh grill) without pinching the thick power cables.

I'm running the mid armor lite with a warn zeon 10-s. the factory spacers (I had 4 of the
m) are rectangle with one half having shoulders with 2 holes in each. My bumper came with 2" button head hex bolts that mount the bumper (thru the tow rings, bull bar, bumper, spacers and frame)

I think these are the spacers being discussed although by the looks of this picture you would not gain a whole lot from them. But at this point something is better than nothing right? Just not sure if it would be with taking my bumper back apart to add that much. Maybe the spacer plus a few washers tho.

It's been a while since I installed mine... trying real hard to picture the spacers you're talking about, and I do remember the LoD bolts being really short.
It would be great to figure out a way to create space, though!

|inksterJK||Did you use the spacers from the stock bumper? I didn't at first and had the same problem with my winch. Then put the factory spacers in behind the anchor bolts and there's even more room on the bolts to add another 1/8" -3/16" spacer if you need it.|

definitely put some protection around the hot wire so it does not rub thru.
I would look at moving the control box to a different location as well.

So I just installed a very similar setup (armor lite mid and engo 10000) and ran into a small snag. The winch is so close to my grill that I had to jam the solenoid cables down in there and now they are starting to rub my grill. Did anybody else run into this issue and if so what did you do. Or if you didn't have this issue Any suggestions for me?
