|kik||10 Rubicon 6spd. Ordered loaded and delivered with 6 miles Jan. 2010. Was pulled after assembly for random additional quality control inspection. 0 issues. One program update and an iphone 4 update. All of the stars seemed to line up on this build. An M3 that we had for 7 yrs. before it was sold had more issues than National Geographic.|

I purchased my first Jeep, a 2013 Unlimited Sahara in November, with an odometer reading of 169, currently have 4k miles. Only expenses incurred have been Rigid Dually D2s and fuel.
The only issues I've had thus far have been massive airflow into the cab when the top is off. Other than that its a fantastic vehicle!

I'll play however will include "both"....and not as well documented as for changes.
'04 TJ Sport...got lucky, but paid too much (probably) has 3.73s 5 speed 4.0.
Was a "program car" had 22K when I got it in Nov '04. Replaced one clutch at 140K.
Replaced catalytic convertor due to driver errors multiple times. Ran high octane and plugged them up.
Replaced water pump and heater blower motor.
Mods: 3 sets KC lights, Bumpers front and 2 rear, 2 tops, 2 jammers, swing out tire carrier, and back to no tire carrier on rear bumper, heated seats, new head unit, OME lift, 33" Duratracs, Big Q floor mats, more speakers (17 total), Dirty Mudder seat covers, Bushwaker flatflares, Zone quick Discos, BL and MML and most recently a Cobra CB.
My vehicle of choice most of the time. 160K miles+ on the clock
'12 JK bone stock 'cept floor mats and stickers. 18K my wifes vehicle of choice to ride or drive. ......Probably paid to much for it as well and yes it has the 3.21s but I am happy with both of them for what they are.
How about some positive stuff instead of always whinning??

The "Nothing's Wrong with Mine" thread
Happy 2013 and celebration of the start of my 3rd year driving my 08 JK Sahara.
Since there's so many miseries posted, maybe others might join in a "Nothing Wrong" thread.
Details of cost of operation:
Private purchase 12/10 15000 original miles, show room condition, 24G option package, dual tops. Folder never used. Paid $21000 cash.
Current 49985 miles
Major expense (repair): $ none
Minor repair: (voluntary) replace squeaky front roll bar bushings: total cost $95 parts & labor
Tires replaced at 25k: $1100 (still like the OEM 18" rims)
Costs along the way:
Headlight upgrade (including Daniel Stern harness, reflectors, bulbs, fog lights AND install) $1000
Repair 1 wind shield rock crack (before glass coverage)
Floor mats $59
Under seat security drawer: $119
Hood Lock : $100
3 spare security chip-keys: $27
Minor self-installed mods: total under $200
Insurance cost: complete coverage : $429/year
Overall average gas mileage: 19.4
No leaks of wind or water
No death wobble
95% of hood flutter eliminated by removing hood spring
Biggest 'repair': plugging washer fluid hose back into rear wiper
EDIT: factory warranty replacement of splash-back fuel tank well AFTER the warranty period.
Oil consumption: last oil change was 1/2 qt low (4000 mile interval from prior change---1st 'low oil' and longest between changes to date)
No recurring or major electric glitches. Once parked sideways on a STEEP slope had trouble getting key to turn; proved to be issue with parking lever/steering wheel coordination that resolved by paying attention to the issue.
Unresolved issues: still have ghostly turbine-spooling down sound on opening door; odd instances of overhead light being in the 'on position' when starting in morning despite leaving it "OFF"; occasional chime with no obvious reason.
Daily driver, used to support rural life style: pull small tree stumps out; tow various debris to dump or pick up supplies; move fire wood around place using cargo area; longest road trip 3000 miles.
Critical evaluation: good service for the cost; reliable, predictable, ready to go wherever I point it...at it's own pace. Still brings smile every time I drive it. Have been through many ice-snow-rain-mud-rocks-slick situations with no issue. Very handy as a get-around-the-abysmal-city rig as well as fleeing back to my rural bunker as soon as possible.
Still rides like a rocking horse and handles like a lawn tractor. So what?
