I was curious about that too. But I got impatient and ordered the LoD mid width and installed it last week. It was packed up tight and there was almost no way for it to get damaged during shipping.

AirForce_Jeeper Installed my ACE mid-width bumper last weekend. Just need to add a winch. Thanks Jason from Krawl Off Road.

DuneRubicon Living in Arizona, especially in the summer, air flow is a big concern.
I wanted the least blockage and I really like the F4 lines.

I have to mount up the spare carrier, it just got coated.

snokat Pavement Ends bump is finally on. No plans for a winch on the first mods go-around, but it can take a plate if I get loopy sooner than expected.
Only 40 lbs !

Our stinger bumpers are all packaged in Crates, but a lot of our other bumpers are packaged in bags and the box filled with expanding foam, like the picture below. It isn't cheap to do it this way but we want to make sure they arrive in perfect condition, as everybody knows what delivery drivers do to them!

Thanks! My decision was actually based on the amount of deer traffic that I deal with going up and down the canyon roads. I definately wanted a full width front bumper but it also had to be winch capable, bolt on, and be extremely strong made of a heavy metal. I am so impressed with the workmanship by JCR - the weld joints are beautiful and you can tell they don't rush their work.

I am not going to worry about totaling this jeep if I hit a deer. I hit a huge 6' point buck last November and totaled my Saturn and I was fortunate that I wasn't hurt any worse other than a really sore back but the impact going 70mph sheered off the entire right side of my Saturn. Well that is NOT going to happen with this bumper on my jeep!

I have forwarded all the feedback about packaging to our warehouse as well as to Barricade. I can promise that I'm working to make sure your experience is never repeated, unfortunately making a change like this takes a bit of time. I'm certainly not making an excuse but I wanted to let you know that I'm committed to fixing the packaging issue.

I understand if you don't want to give us a third shot at getting you a good bumper, but if you do I will package your replacement personally to ensure it is is perfect shape when it gets to you. If you decide you want to keep the bumper you have but would like a larger credit or discount on your next purchase, I can do that as well.

I would like to do anything I can to keep you as a customer if you'll give me the opportunity. I'll check this thread and of course my PMs throughout the day. I hope to hear back from you!

I was a bit insulted that they offered me $50 on it, I understand that its much less expensive that most bumpers, but its probably a loss you can recover from UPS.

Either way, I dropped back and punted, I liked the Smittybilt XRC MOD, and while it was more expensive (almost double the price all in) its on and looks great.

Let me give you some more info on how they packed it. The center section comes in a box with foam blocks on each end, and one in the middle to prevent moving. They cover the ends of the bumper with this 1/4" thick foam and overwrap it with plastic. Well wrapped, well packaged and it was truck shipped, so UPS didn't get their dam hands on it. The bull bar, which they know dam well will slide and pop th end of the box, had a rubber bead around the mounting plate to protect it, and they over wrapped that with plastic.

I know other people said NO to Smittybilt, and I had to fight with some of the bolts, but its on, it looks great and once I sell some more stuff on eBay, I can buy the ends with fog lamps. Anybody need a bumper?

I also did the winch at the same time, Smitty recommends installing the winch before the bumper, and let me say, its not light!!!

I pulled the grille and the air box to route the power cables to the battery. I drilled two holes in the tray that holds the air box to put in a wire tie to hold the cables. Every thing works, looks good and now I want the ends.

You just sealed the deal for me...it was between LoD and Shrockworks. Couple the way they ship their product and the lack of the shrockwork wait times...I'll be going with LoD front, rear, and rails.

Thursday is my install, but I want you all to know that I opened the box and the bumper was VERY WELL Packaged.

I took a few photos for you to see what Extreme Terrain does for us.

I look forward to the install and more int he future.

I no longer want to buy a bumper that has to be shipped, so its Morris down the road or 4Wheel Parts. If you can't ship your product without damage, don't blame UPS, they treat every package like a football.

Plus when they finally shipped out a replacement, they "Promised" to package it so as not to be damaged.

If you look back in this forum, JCR makes plenty with that option.

hayseed_lmd Received my Warn Elite last week and finally got around to installing it today. Mine also had delivery scars, but a shot of paint and it looked good enough for me. Installation took a little longer than usual as I expected. I bought my jeep with a reconstructed title and the frame horns were a bit bent as well as the flanges to make the stock bumper look reasonably straight, but after all was straightened it went on without a problem. No winch yet. Have to wait until after tires. Love the look though!

I don't mind the amount of rust the brand gets, but I feel bad when others get products where the parts don't fit or have to alter the product to make it work. It's a hit or miss.

My Ace rails were pristine when I got them, and were shipped during the busiest time of the year. Other vendors do it, so it CAN be done.
