Someone make this idea come to life!
(As I have never been, nor do I know where it is, I cannot)

Raiders1901 Its nice to see this thread a little more lively lately, I thought it was dying. Its been WAY too long since my Jeep has been offroad. I'm down for Breckenridge this weekend if anyone is interested. Sunday afternoon for a couple of hours would probably be best for me (if i'm not too hung over!)

The weekend of the 16th or 30th in August works best for me.

That's not that far. I went about 13 hours away to Kentucky two years ago, to go wheeling with some members from here.

meh, no different to me than making a trip to uwharrie or some of the other 3-4 hour trips i've taken to wind rock or callante

to be fair though, some of those return trips can get interesting with new noises or with your steering wheel having rotated around to a new position

I definitely want to go back and do the entire ride soon if I can find a jeep buddy in the area to tag along.

thinkmassive I recently moved to Durham and have been meaning to find some trails. Uwharrie seems to be the only [legal] public place nearby, so I'd be down for a camping trip just about any weekend this summer. Anywhere else within a few hours would be good too, preferably where I can camp and bring my dog.

I just realized I made my first post on WF earlier this evening. I've been lurking for a while, more on JF than here, but I've learned a lot from both in the two years I've had my Jeep. For a while I was only doing simple stuff like fluid changes and interior mods. Then I finally installed a budget boost I've had sitting for over a year, and now I'm confident in my abilities to do just about anything with a good reference and some patience.

jeepfriedjeff Thanks for the heads up Brandon. I don't want to upset any one to that degree. I can see why they get that upset . Doesn't take much to tear up a road or field.

brandon. I would not recommend going to the trail off rock quarry. Had a friend chased off a couple weeks ago by the owner wielding a shot gun. Now its regularly patrolled by police.

jeepfriedjeff here is a site I just found. NCDOT unpaved roads. not many around anymore.
