U can get the rims & tire package for a great price.
Bought them and am nothing but plsd. And I'm a lil picky with quality. LOL!
JCW has them on sale right about now!
Got mine s/h to the door for about $600 and that included the center caps & lugs. All I did was install and go. Actually really nice package deal.

STL???? did ya mean TSL?

If so they are a great offroad tire, not so good on road. 20k miles is about all you will get from them. Flat spots, tough to balance in some cases. That being said one heck of tire and I miss mine..

02Prove Look into the Maxxis Bighorns... they are compairable to the BFG MTs in tread life and durability and do not cost as much.

Jiffydarren I would suggest, just from a fuel economy standpoint that instead of getting overly aggressive mudders that you invest in some standard all terrain tires. I have a set of General A/T^2's on my rig and they are aggressive enough for mud but not so much that I lose 3 or 4 miles to the gallon.

Duck Dodgers I have a 2" BB and run BFG MT's 32x11.50x15 and disco's I very rarely rub when discoed and am in a situation where I am really flexing.

rallykid I run 31x10.50 15 AT's on my '06 LJ at stock height and haven't rubbed yet so with 2 inches of lift and the same tire size you should be fine. I am debating now when these wear out if I want to lift it and go with 32's or lift it more and go with 33's. 33's are actually cheaper to buy than 32's.

Jma20a they should fit fine. there may be a little bit of rubbing at full turn but when you get new rims with backspacing you should be all set

finally looking to purchase tires

well with my rebate check in the mail, im finally able to seriously look into new tires.

I have a two inch lift which would let me max out at 32 inches (thanks to all of you for that info of course) ('98 TJ

Im looking at a set of mud terrains and these are the specifications:
Description

31x10.50R15 M/T

Specification

Diameter: 30.9"

Tread Width: 8.2"

Tread Depth: 20/32"

my question now is, although i can afford new tires, i cant quite afford new rims. I plan on buying a set of steel soft 8's eventually, but cant right now. So can a tire with those specifications fit onto the stock rim properly?

also, the tire is appx 31 inches, is that a practical difference from stock (which are 29's i think?)

id appreciate all your help, and of course your opinions!
