SrdjanDV Hi, I think you would better try to find one in a junkyard. I am almost 100% sure that the part you are looking for is not longer available and it would be much more easy try to get a used one.

Alaskasnowbird Not really. That is what I call the striker. The part I am looking for mounts on the inside of the door and will latch onto the striker and hold the door shut. It's what both the inside and outside door handles connect to. Thanks anyway.

84 CJ door latch

Does anyone know of a replacement style door latch for an 84 CJ drivers door? I am looking for the part that mounts inside the door itself, not the striker or the handle. The Jeep dealer is telling me that the original part is no longer available.
