The pitman does not point straight back so adjust the sleeve to get it close enough to go in. If the ends of the TRE and draglink hit before you get it close enough, take the sleeve off and cut about 1/4" off of each one and put it back on.
When you get that done, turn it lock to lock, see where the clamps are hitting and fix them.

I agree with what Scoopy's suggesting. I was ready to replace the tie rod bracket bolts and turn the brackets, but tonight's inspection shows that there's plenty of space on both ends. When I turn the steering wheel all the way to the left, the wheels are basically facing straight ahead and the brackets are not approaching any contacting points. The pitman arm, however, is at about the 2 o'clock position when looking at it from the front of the vehicle. I thought this was suspicious from the beginning and I tried to minimize the amount of threads during the initial installation. The visible threads increased as I adjusted it to center the steering wheel.
How do I redo this to get it right? I suppose I can completely tighten the adjuster and the rod end as much as possible, but that will limit my adjustment to only one direction. What about the pitman arm? What direction should that be pointing (or perhaps where should the steering wheel be turned) to get this right? I would expect the pitman arm to face directly toward the rear of the vehicle when the steering wheel is in the middle of its allowable rotation.

The bracketry on your HP Dana 30 is slightly different and looks like it is interfering with the clamps on the tie rod. Remove the bolts one at a time and replace them with grade 8 3/8-24 and nyloc nuts, point the bolts forward and clamps straight down and let us know what happens.

|Jerry Bransford||I don't see anything obviously wrong with your installation. Try having a helper turn the steering wheel for you while you watch everything up front to see what is impacting when it is turned in the direction you're having the problem.|

Below are photos of the steering linkage. I think they are pretty clear, but they might still not be enough to see what's happening. Each was taken from the front of the vehicle with the wheels basically pointing straight ahead.
I realized when posting these that I don't have a good picture of the pitman arm's position. You can kinda see it in picture #5, but only a little.

Currie Steering Installation Problem
So I removed my steering linkage assembly last week and replaced it with Currie's Currectlync setup. Currie's design is well engineered to say the least. Anyone considering upgraded steering should look no further.
During Installation, I tried to follow the instructions as closely as possible and I did make extra efforts to turn the steering wheel lock-to-lock (with the engine off) to check for clearances prior to lowering the rig from the jackstands. Since I was working alone, I spent some extra time on this and I noticed that everything was nice and tight when I turned the wheel.
Once completed, I didn't have a chance to drive it so I basically put everything away and waited for another day.
Yesterday, I backed my rig straight out of the garage and turned it to the right to back into my street. Nothing felt wrong. I then turned the wheel to the left (to re-center the steering and drive forward) and everything continued to feel fine.
I then went to turn left and that's when something wrong became obvious. The problem is that I can't turn my steering wheel any further left than center. The steering stop at the right knuckle is not contacted and nothing seems to be binding. When I tried this with the engine off, turning the wheel lock-to-lock was no problem. Now that it's running, my steering feels limited.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
