Have a JKU Altitude (ive posted on this thread about 2 months ago) and just checking in again... Want to upgrade my tires, but keep my stock rims. I see a few of you have done this, any suggestions? Want to run 33's with a 2'' lift.

I just found it odd that they're coming up here to buy, it's usually the other way around

From what the dealer told me, they made 4500 Altitudes and 500 of them are 2 doors, available only in Canada so the 2 door might be kinda rare, but then again it's just a trim package ?

Got a few things done this weekend.
Teraflex HD Tire carrier accessory mount from Rebel off road. Josh was very helpful
Don't worry I'll be painting that black soon.
Also painted the exhaust
Used gloss heat black.
Changed the fogs to CREE LED's
And lastly painted the ACE rock rails and fenders to body match with Gloss black. Also went back to OEM Stubby

Teraflex leveling kit and 33's!

Got it done from factory before I drove it on the road so it didn't need any cleaners or have any rust.
As far as i can tell they only sprayed the bottom of the body and the frame.

My Altitude, just bought it a couple months ago ( new/old stock) , I actually paid more for this one compared to a couple 13's I tried out as this was fully loaded and well, I liked it ...
Not any mods until next spring and then a BB and 33's, I'll keep the black wheels/tires for winter and will probable go with Rugged Ridge chrome wheels for summer with Duritracs ? I'm old school so I need some chrome so I did the mirrors , door handles and center caps on the wheels to break it up a little ...

Looking good folks! So wild to see how these rigs morph over time. I definitely am a little envious at the folks that stuck with the original 18's.
Just picked up the DIY parts for the grill insert and will hope to have time to get that done soon. I can definitely say I've laid low over the summer, enjoying top off/doors off, but am ready to get back to some trail riding in the Fall coming up here. Hope everyone is well!

Havnt posted mine in here yet so I think it's time. 2.5" RK flex system, 35" FA's. Want to regear and throw a locker in the rear soon but I'm forcing myself to put $10k down on it first. Didn't want to get rid of the rims but 18" rubber is expensive and I don't like spacers. Also want tire carrier more armor and maybe a drag link flip. It never ends and I had no idea I was going to be going this far into modding!

I've talked to a few Jeepers and they have all had negative reviews regarding the recon lights.

This is my journey so far.

Bought my 2012 JKU altitude in July of 2012. Almost 11,000 miles in a little over a year. Love it.
So far only MODS I've made are:
Sunrider soft top (originally hard top)
Black tail light covers from Jeep
Running Boards (also from Jeep) black with chrome-- see picture below.
But, I love the rims too much to replace them with an aftermarket rim. They are what make the car unique the most. So I thought instead of getting aftermarket wheels + tires, I could just wrap new rubber around the 18"s that are on there. I can see from the other pics, that people have done this. For those of you that have, any suggestions? Probably going to put a 2" spacer kit from TeraFlex in as well. So 33" 34"s would be nice!

New to Wrangler Forum, but this is the first thread I've found. There are some really good looking Altitudes on here. I bought mine September 12'. I have done a few MODS but not even close to a finish product. Here is mine!
Light Bar w/ KC Lights
Light Bar Switches in Cab
D-Box-5 under hood (Wiring Lights for Dummies)LOL
Quadratec Floor Mats
WWII Grenade Shifter
Quadratec Towing Kit
Window Rain Guards
New front and rear speakers. Infinity upgrades.
NEXT: Lift, Tires, Front and Rear Bumper, Rocker Guards. Still researching on Regearing. Our Altitudes are 3.21. With 34's or 35's and a lift I still want to be able to pull my other toys around on the trailer.
