huskersdave Zipped tied my backseat seatbelts to the rollbar so they would stop flapping. I than drove it down the interstate for 3 hours with the top down.

Dirty Backroads I put a 13" Antenna X on the TJ. Reception sucks but it looks good and doesn't bang up against my mirror.

Everywhere i looked turned up 25 - 30 for both Dana 30 and 35. 25 seemed to be enough; considering there's 10 of them and the RTV holding that cover on.

Arrrr! I hate that word because of the POs wrong doings and my time and effort removing and cleaning it.

It most definitely would have for most, but I was being cheap and I wanted the look right then. Also, I have xenon flat flares so the side signals and bulbs would've been a waste for me

Hexiled Razz Changed my diff fluid and painted my rusty old covers to give them a "pop". I was originally going to just clean up and re-use the old bolts, but after the wire wheel grabbed one from me and whipped it across the basement, my sorry ass was on the way to the hardware store to pick up stainless :S
Front came off easily enough, though the rear was significantly more rusted(The bolts were; cover actually cleaned up nicer than the front). I had to hammer a 12MM socket onto half of the 1/2 bolts to turn them off. I consider myself lucky it didn't turn into a weekend job.

Fluid was black in both the front and the rear. Leads me to believe they haven't been changed in a while; if ever. Good news is that my gears looked clean, and there were no heavy metal shavings or chunks. Though my rear was leaking at the pinion seal. Gonna' have to replace that soon. Here's the front end finished; i'm gonna let the RTV cure and dump fluid in tomorrow.

DarthLEGO Installed a Tuffy Compact Security box in the rear of my tub. Great place to store tools and gear for my winch.

Only hard part was squeezing my hands between the tub and the fuel tank for the mounting bolts. PITA I just didn't trust trying to use blind rivets...

And dang that thing is in their solid. Almost like it was built-in with the Jeep. And keyed to my under seat security drawer too. ;-)

RKCWLER Not my jeep but a valuable piece nonetheless. My compressor seized after a run on Sunday when I was airing up. Many thanks to my fellow jeeper who let me borrow his compressor. I took mine apart today because my warranty is past. Found sand in the cylinder. The original filter ring is not thick enough to stop all the particles from getting into the cylinder. I cut a piece of Scotch-Brite and added it to my filter. This is a good temporary fix but I will be looking for some more filter medium To make a thicker ring.

Holton345 My NalinMFG speaker brackets arrived today. Very nicely made, reasonable in price and quickly shipped. Five stars, Mr. Nalin!

I had some blown Pioneer 4x6s in front (with the tweeter on the plate in front of the mid cone) and they sucked. The sound bar had a pair of 5.25" Alpine SPS 500 that also have issues.

I installed Polk Audio DB521s in all four corners with the help of the Nalin brackets. Stupidly simple to do.

Sub is next.

My stereo is finally sounding pretty decent. When I get the sub I will probably stop with mods and improvements. I am one of those weirdos who actually *likes* the stock head unit and amp setup. I do not need to feel things bumping my a$$ to enjoy my music. So this ought to do for some time. An amp and another head unit *might* end up in there if I really take to this. I have had pretty much no tuneage in my TJ ever (since 2003). So this is a nice change.

I rocked out to Old Guy tunes all afternoon. Def Leppard Pyromania, Ronnie James Dio Holy Diver, AC/DC Back in Black, Soundtrack from The Blues Brothers, Red Hot Chili Peppers Blood Sugar Sex Magik, etc. It was a great day with the top off and music that I really like...
