I really like you went with the simple Rubicon emblem rather than the the one with the mountains, IMHO.

And thanks for the tip on the spray paint for the seats, never even considered that!

Why didnt you get the fender flares done? Mine are all faded, and I might have those done as well, but worried about how they will look.

And as for those people who are knocking the JK....I tried one and hated it, the black interior was claustrophobic, I felt like I was stepping into a space pod....surrounded entirely by seat and dashboard. While my mother and I test drove one, I just didn't feel like I was driving a Jeep, but my poor mother, who hates my TJ exclaimed (while holding the oh s##t handle), "It's still a jeep." And my driving had nothing to do with it.
Thanks! I honestly just didn't think about it when I took the jeep in. In retrospect I should have, and still may in the future. For now the cheap rustoleum is holding up pretty good.

The line-x extra is the same price no matter what color. The first layer is black and then they spray the color matched layer on top. I wish I would have saved the scrap from the hood louver install. I could have took a pic of the edges to show you. I stuck with the khaki color on mine because I happen to like it with the black accents.

Nope, drill/hole saw/grinder went right on through. The hole saw and grinding wheel saw were toast after the project though. I also left the hood on for install. Just covered the engine and windshield with wet towels.

Can you share...what is it (line x?)...who did it and how...and cost...thanks!

n00g7 If you don't mind me asking, what was the cost to line-x (1) the inside and (2) the outside and (3) are they guaranteeing it with the lifetime warranty?

My TJ Rubicon has 49k miles, and it's clear the paint sucks, so I'm thinking this is a good option. On another note, I'm considering having the frame gone over (chassis saver, or whatever, and then rattle can'd and clear coated) before doing my lift. Should basically be a brand new jeep at that point that will last a looooong time.

No complaints here either, seems to be pretty good. Looks like I have brand new black seats, and they still feel like cloth. Went this route to see if I could save money on seat covers, glad I did!

PaulisTJ Awesome Jeep wish I had the kind of cash for a rubi LJ. If you don't mind me asking what did you pay to get your exterior done? My local linex shop quoted me at least 2grand even if I strip everything myself. It seemed a bit too much.

DetroitRodeo What are the thoughts on getting iggee seat covers in all blue? My interior is all black and it's pretty dark in there, this might turn out decent. Figured they put all red seats in the new 10 year Rubi...so I could do all blue in mine lol
