LVRaptor we did a last min run there today, weather has really taken a toll on the trail. we turned around just shy of the wash do to time constraints. had a great time though

jokerchief462 Trail is in Boulder City and that is the Colorado River.

What a view

Had a really fun time. Glad we were able to come out and meet some cool people. Looking forward to doing it again.

LV.Wrangler.13 That looks like a good time was had by all!

I'm 9 days away (or maybe 8, if it's early), from my 2013 JKUR arriving here in Las Vegas! {uggh! .. 9 more days! }

I can't wait to hit the trails!!

There was several 12" drop offs and some fun mild rock garden areas. 4W low was needed to get back up some sections after leaving the river.

gregaf3 wow the water is low right now. That run is so much better in the summer when you can jump in the water!!
01-28-2013 01:18 PM
jokerchief462 A little bumpy??? Is there a trail in NV that isn't.
Had a great time met some great folks and it was an absolutely gorgeous January day. It doesn't get much better.

Ready for arum in Feb. here is a group photo on the beach at lunch on the CO river.

I'll post up more pics Tuesday night.

gregaf3 As in softball to bowling ball sized rocks sticking out of the first half of the trail. It makes for a very rough ride until you get down into the wash.

Xodius Rocky as in obstacles or as in gravel?
01-27-2013 07:42 PM
RepairMan That was a good trailride, a little more rocky than I thought it would be.
01-26-2013 11:12 PM
RepairMan I will be there and possibly with a guy with a Rubicon JK that I work with.

Mark, take care of your family.

Ray, I hope your back feels better
01-26-2013 09:55 PM
Xodius Sadly, I have to bow out for tomorrow. My wife came down with a bad cold/flu thing and she is pregnant with our first. She says I could go, but I can't. Need to take care of my wife and unborn.
Next trip I will be there, seems Repairman and I go about once or twice a month somewhere.
I was going to have a buddy ride shotgun, he is a fellow jeeper who is retired but his rig is DOA for the moment. He is located off Jones and Spring Mountain. If someone is near there and wouldn't mind taking him, please let me know. He is a good guy. I actually met him through another friend who is active military, and currently on deployment.
If not, no problem. He has run it before but was looking forward in heading out.

Sorry guys.

jokerchief462 I'm still in see whoever at 830. Ray lay down put ice for the pain. Do some stretching and knee pulls to the chest. I've had a bad back for 39 years. No fun and painful. Get better and we will find another trail.
01-26-2013 01:44 PM
Xodius Sorry to hear that and know how you feel.

I will try and take some pictures and post them.
01-26-2013 01:28 PM
raythom3 Sorry to say but I will most likely not be tagging along. Tweaked my back Friday Morning and am struggling with getting around right now. If I start feeling better I might still try to make it, but right now it looks like I won't be going.
01-26-2013 12:55 PM
Xodius Confirmed with one of the guys I go with. His rig is down but will be riding shotgun with me. Picking him up at 7:30 and should be there by 8:30-8:45.
01-26-2013 01:42 AM
l2abbit Wish I could guys! Ill be trapped in Caesars working.. Enjoy the day!
01-25-2013 04:58 PM
raythom3 Usually Channel 4, and the last time we were out there it was in pretty good shape. There were a couple of rough spots but I made with our stock JK with no problem.
01-25-2013 03:09 PM
Xodius I spread the word to a few people I know. Should be fun.
Any set CB channel? What is the condition of the trail? Should I expect the need for my winch or anything?
01-25-2013 09:12 AM
raythom3 I am going either way. If the wash is not passable I guess we turn around. There hasn't been any major down pours just yet so I really don't expect too much water down there.
01-25-2013 08:44 AM
Xodius Now they are saying potential rain. Should be interesting.
01-25-2013 12:22 AM
jokerchief462 Weather for Sunday no rain we are goood to go. I should be done with all my work Saturday afternoon. Fixing engines in vans sucks. Everything takes so much longer but I am almost done. See you there.
01-24-2013 06:42 PM
Str8Jeepin I'm in, time is good
01-24-2013 12:24 AM
jokerchief462 More the merrier. No rules other than common sense. Just a loose group with some impromptu runs now and then and all have been fun
01-23-2013 10:39 PM
Xodius Hmm I maybe interested. Let me see if I can get away. Have not done that trail in my JK, did it in my KJ some time ago.

If I can get a pass I will come on out. Any requirements that you have or anything? I may know a few people that might want to come.
01-23-2013 10:30 PM
jokerchief462 I'm in for a run no issues time is good.
01-23-2013 10:08 PM
RepairMan I'm in, I might have a jeep or two from work with me. 0830 goal with a leave by 9 is good for me.
