Lane24 Ended Summer....... cleaned out the Yeti from all the topless fun, put the hard top back on... and touched up the plastdip on the grill.....

Burke1973 Got my steel flat flares on. Took a while and had some difficulty withy the rear bolts but all turned out well I think! Have some led side markers ordered, they will go on this week.
ivantate Had a look underneath, got disappointed by the amount of rust on the chassis, cleaned it up and painted some black on it.

8months old and there were spots on the welds. Did the bits I could see, will be having another go in the spring.
Fleche Working on the de-chromification of my ride...Today, the shiny bolts on my hubcaps went AMP'd.

Not sure how to deal with the center logo...
Fleche I replaced the big plastic OEM license plate holder with a Warrior Products License plate mount (1563). 3 LEDs light the plate and it's all metal.Used a bit of touch-up paint on the screw holes for the OEM mount behind the bumper too.

I used some nice black bolts I had for the side instead of the bare metal ones they provided. Scary drilling into the your new Jeep...

This was also inspired by where I placed my backup camera. When the plate was off, it was fine. On..well the massive plate light blocked half my camera view.

I also spent $14 on a screen rather than the $110 my dealer wants to program my head unit.

No more blind spots when backing up!
Captain Ed Soft top off. Hard top on. Not much more good weather ahead here.
paiceman Sum it up in one word. MOAB. First trip, live back East. Fantastic

Chunkeydunkin Started making a bracket for my CB to hang right above the rear - view mirror. Well post more photos once completed.

Rancho 2" sport lift w/9000XL shocks.

I spent between 4 and 5 hours installing a Rancho 2 inch sport lift.
I really like the stance and the ride. The Rancho 9000XLs are just awesome.
Quadratec hooked me up with a good deal. I got the lift kit to my door for
less than the cost of the shocks.
I measured center of the wheel to edge of the fender and was 20-1/4"x 4
After the lift the front measured 23" and the back measured 22-1/2".
I took most of the rake out. I gained 2-3/4 in the front with a barricade
bumper and 2-1/4 in the rear. I love this kit.

He likes the feeling if independence the JK gives him. I hope your cousin is able to get himself a JK. He will be very happy and will attract crowds wherever he stops. Jeeps are sort of common in parts of Europe, but not in Spain.
You are right.

I think the video I showed him of my jeep in Raisch Creek also helped. Also gave him a winch demonstration and showed him all the recovery tools. He was impressed. I think the liked the "American" side of it too.

So he helped me put the doors on for our day trip around the state. We kept the top down all day.

Drive around all day, Hard Rock Cafe for lunch driving to the shore the jeeps start coming out. After the second wave he asks

"You know that guy?"

"Nope"

"Why you wave?"

I explain the whole jeep wave. He's like "it's like a secret club!" Something like that.

We have a great day showing them tourist areas. Get home and we decide to go out to dinner so I told him. I'm putting the soft top back up because it's raining the next day and it'll be cold. He helps me put it up. I let him put the windows on and he said. "This is very, very neat. Everyone should have a jeep at least once in their life for the experience" I agreed.

Next day. Joins us at the soccer field to watch my kids play. There are a few jeeps on the parking lot and he says. "I'm buying a jeep. Not sure if in Spain or if I move to the states. But I'm going to save to buy a jeep."

I smiled.

Chicago set a record low last Thursday or Friday...freedom panels off with a hoodie and heat on, not too bad. Wish I had a soft top so I would have this issue to battle with.

BareBones13 I Picked up my Jeep Today!! Went ahead and installed the rear seat recline kit and definitely makes a difference, although I didn't really give my passengers a chance to complain. Pretty easy install, but man those 3 bolts under the seat at the angle were a PIA to get loose.....

Didn't expect to have my jeep this quick and have plans all day tomorrow but in the next week i'll be adding clear sidemarkers/splice to the front turn signal so they blink, along with the Rugged Ridge mesh grill insert, and trailer hitch/wiring harness from Quadratec. Hoping to take off the doors tomorrow night if I get a chance, although it might be a chilly ride into work the next couple mornings...
Kevinsmith5 Added lens guards to the headlights, turn signals, side reflectors, and tail lights. Put grab handles on the back of the front headrests, rollbar, and windshield corners. Installed the below the toolbar storage bags and put my recovery gear in them. Tomorrow the seat covers go on, think I've just about decided on the bumpers and winch to order.
