Grizzly-Chris Sorry about that Brooke,
I took the rubber bung out of the drivers floor on my old JK, I no it's not the answer but atleast the water has somewhere to drain out of rather than a big pool of it around your feet, also i agree its annoying.

LEAKY soft top!

I have an 07JK that I might as well leave the drivers side window down on in the rain! When it rains I have water standing in my floor.I bought it new in 07 (1st yr for 4 door) and this winter it has leaked terrible. I have never taken it thru an auto car wash. This morn there is water all over inside door, steering wheel, seat and water standing in it! Soooo frustrating. That's not a Jeep thing, its a problem!

Grizzly-Chris Hiya Geert,
It seems to be luck of the draw as some leak like a sieve and some are watertight, I personally had no problem on my old 2009 JK with the roof freedom panels but the rain water used to flood in through the top of the right hand side door seal and totally fill the footwell area.
From my experience I'd say if your buying from a dealer then if it leaks then the warranty should cover it, if like me you buy private it's a gamble, if it does leak you can replace the seals but there's still no guarantee the new seals won't leak especially if the panels a bit warped. Also don't over tighten the 2 screw in cups as this can cause problems too.

Sarah N mine does leak in heavy rain, at the front between the two panels.

Bazzer Mine lives outside too and the roof never leaks nor does the inside of the windows freeze. It does get cold inside though due to the lack of insulation but not enough to bother me.

Tonycrd I drove a hardtop JK through a very hard storm with hail and loads of rain and not a drop came in. So it's watertight. Cannot help you with the frozen question though...

And it's not a car. It's a JEEP.

Wrangler Sport hardtop watertight?

I am planning to buy me my (first) wrangler. It will be a Sport 2.8.

But I am wondering if the system with the two removable panels and hardtop actually is watertight enough if driving on a highway. Watertight anyway...

The car will need to sleep outside, so I wonder if there are issues in winter with frozen windows on the inside because of the air/watertightness.

Anybody experience with this?
