Who says I have no experience with them? I knew coming into the purchase the gas mileage sucked. It's a Jeep.

My dads YJ got roughly 14-15 mpg, and that's how I figured my tj would be. I was just surprised he said 18-20.

I was just asking out of curiosity, thanks.

Rubicondon53 The guy lied,, I can squeeze out 17 mpg with no load, a good tailwind, and never cracking 60mph.. Loaded with gear and trailer I'm happy to see 12 to 13mpg... Normal average driving, back and forth to work, on country roads, I'll average 14 in winter, and 16 in summer... The winter blends in gasoline, and diesel are mpg killers.

Gas Mileage

Those of you with a lift and 35's, what kind of gas mileage do you get? Got my first TJ two weeks ago, and the guy said it got roughly 18-20 MPG. Sweet!! I have a 3-4" lift with 35" BF Goodrich all terrains.

Recently filled up and calculated that I got 12-13 MPG. Does this seem reasonable? I'm thinking the guy lied.
