|nater344||They said that if they found that they made a mistake or the fuel sending unit was bad that they wouldn't charge me, but if it was something else, they would charge me for the time to diagnose the problem. I have alreally had the tank off, check all the conections out and everything look good to my untrained eye. I would rather not find out later that it was something simple that I could have done in my garage, after paying the garage. That's why I am picking everyone's brain on the forum.|

Incorrect fuel level on fuel guage
Last Summer I had my dealer replace my fuel sending unit due to a recall. Before replacing the fuel sending unit, my guage would only go up to 3/4 of a tank. After the unit was replaced, the guage worked for the first tank of gas and on the second fill up, back to reading 3/4 of a tank. I called the dealer and they stated that they did replace the fuel sending unit and they would charge me $65 an hour to diagnos my problem. Needless to say I didn't take it back in.
I currently have the tank off for another project. Any ideas of what my problem may be or what to check?
Thanks in advance!
