Several weeks ago I upgraded to a set of the Putco Yellow 35W bulbs in my '11 JK. I had to trim the a couple of the alignment grooves on the bulbs receptacle so it would fit in the foglight harness connector.
While doing the research for replacement bulbs I discovered there are two types of bulbs offered by Putco; the GM headlight and foglight.
The headlight bulbs put out more light, but also alot more heat. I opted for the foglight version and have had no problems.

H16 & 5202 are Direct Replacements as well.
May have to Trim a Tab on the Bulb Base for the Plug to Fit, but other than that, they are Swappable.

Some have said they have this one. PHILIPS 2504/PSX24W X 1 BULB 12276 C1 12V 24W PGU20/7 OEM DOT FOG LIGHT GERMANY | eBay
I haven't tried it and not 100% sure it will work. Maybe Hilldweller or someone who knows will chime in.

2504 Fog Lamp Replacement for 2010-2012 JK
One of my fog lamps just died on my 2010 JK and my local jeep dealer wanted $46 for single replacement bulb. Apparently the 2010+ fog lamps differ from the 2007-09 and Slyvania doesnt make a replacement yet. I bought a 2504 LED equivaliant which looks good to an observer but when behind the wheel its next to useless compared to the OE lamp, its only about half as bright.
The only other aftermarket fog Lamp I've found is made by Putco Premium Lighting and its gotten horrible reviews with people stating that it runs way hotter than listed and has melted portions of the light housings.
Does anybody know of a good aftermarket 2504 bulb? Has anybody tried a GM ACDelco 15839897? It seems to have comparable specs. and the same form factor.
