viperx6x9x lol, yeah so far nobody has messed with my stuff. Hopefully the security cameras are enough of a deterrent. Good luck getting to the DVR if they want to avoid the police coming for them. There is an alarm system and a few locks to go through to get to it.

clint98 I live in South Carolina so its a do what you have to state, don't take me wrong we have laws but there for the good guys not the a$$holes. But the problem is they stay up for days on them drugs(I have to sleep) they run around all day every day(I have to work) so sooner or later they'll have a chance!

jeepin_jer1 I have my door locks disconnected internally. So the only way to unlock the doors, is with the key!

viperx6x9x Unfortunately i'm stuck in Virginia now so I have to obey obey the laws that favor the thief.

It has to be in defense of you or your family, and you better make sure they fall inside your house if you shoot.

And don't even think of shooting to incapacitate. If they can tell their side of the story their lawyer can build a case against you because they broke into your house. I hate Virginia.

I exaggerate though. But in Texas it is legal to shoot in defense of property (much like it should be everywhere), and I will shoot.

If they did that crap in the middle east though, they would be missing at least one hand. I may not agree with muslim religion and allah and all of that, but I do agree that somebody's hand should get cut off for theft. They will only get caught doing it one more time, tops.

That's what I love about Texas. If I were to catch someone robbing my house or either one of my vehicles it'd be the last time they robbed anything. I got robbed about a month ago so I'm fully prepared now.

I hate scum bag thieves with a passion.

clint98 Really like the idea of a hinge lock, but you know it not right to have to worry about a car door,or tailgate but that's where we're at, the main reason I love my jeep so much it opens up the world and the feel of freedom, but I that guess i'll have to put locks on my locks

Shark_13 Freakin thieves, should have their hands cut off.

Tweak CAT's are a big item too. lots of people in socal hopped in their cars to BAAAAAAAA. it got to the point that scrap yards wouldnt accept them
02-03-2013 05:44 PM
buster-717 quadratec has them for $22.99 there called anti-theft hinge pin nuts
02-03-2013 04:36 PM
viperx6x9x Where might I find those security nuts by the way?

And the truck tailgate theft has been a problem for years. We ended up just putting a locking bed cover on that extends over the tailgate. If you manage to unlock the tailgate, you gotta unlock the bed cover before you can open it still. By that time my alarm will catch you and your biggest worry will be if you are fast enough to outrun my rifle.

marksman113 just buy security nuts instead the allen with the little bump in the center, yeah they can get them still but with any luck they wont be carrying that allen
02-03-2013 04:16 PM
bandman I have the tailgate on my silverado bolted and padlocked to the truck with a cable. Maybe slow them down and go hit my neighbor's three trucks instead. I may check out those door locks for my LJ.

scott howard had mine stolen a couple months ago. It sucks
02-03-2013 02:19 PM
clint98 I agree its all ways best to lock up but with half doors you don't have to be a expert to cut the window and reach in and unlock, what i've done is lock nuts and I lock it,yes I know they still can get them but that'll make it a little harder

02-03-2013 01:18 PM
neverfastenough1 That is why mine stay locked. If they can't open them, they can't lift them off. Don't even have nuts on them.
02-03-2013 01:08 PM
cctriesch Thats why mine just stay off. Mine isn't a DD and I live in Houston so I can drive it doors off 80% of the year
02-03-2013 01:06 PM
