Framingham, '99 TJ SE, stock other than some 33's on a set of '04 Rubicon wheels.
I've never driven off-road before (shocker!) but I'd love to hook up with others for a meet-and-greet or some real easy 4-wheeling. I've started looking into local clubs, but I don't yet have all the equipment they require.

In Hingham, we are so fancy that we can't even have special bags or bins on the side walk for pick up. We have to drive our trash to the Transfer Station. God forbid someone think less of our town for having a trash barrel in the driveway.
I can't imagine what people must say when they see my butt sticking out from under the hood of my Jeep in the driveway.

Not disagreeing with you one bit and you can bet your backside that I sure as hell didn't vote the guy in office now. Us residents here in Duxbury just get a ton of flack for the price of the beach and the small additions that come with buying a sticker. As of a few years ago we have to buy "special" trash bags to throw our original trash bags into in order to the use the transfer station.

I just love how people think!
They have to make sure all of the animal’s shots are up to date. :
That's exactly what a dog license is for that you already paid for and was issued by the town in which you live. The ONLY shot that is required (dog/cat/ferret) per the BOH in ANY city/town in this state is Rabies. PEROID. (MGL C141/S145b & 105 CMR 130) Any other vaccinations you have administered to your pet are between you and your vet.
So basically you’re paying an additional $5 to some guy to look at an already issued dog license, on top of ridiculously overpriced beach permits!
This is just another way this State, Cities, and Towns get to shove their hands into your wallet and grab a little bit more of your hard earned money.
If these bleeding-heart-liberal-tree-huggers that want protect the environment so bad from all of us horrible Jeep/Dog owners, spent 1/10th of the money and resources on illegal immigration and welfare reduction, we could cut our taxes in half, and the permits would be free because Cities and Towns would have plenty of money and wouldn't have to nickel and dime us to death for extra funds!

Sweet ride Mack0092.
I'm in Pembroke too but haven't seen you around but hope I will soon - want a close up for sure!
I have a '12 Cherry Red Sahara JKU and looking to add 35's and lift eventually.
As for Duxbury beach, I've had nothing but great times there. The out of towner permit is a bit pricey but worth it if you can head out there all summer. Bonfires, booze and fun. The rules are not unreasonable. :-).

|Herbie424||Being from Duxbury the harbor masters rarely will be a pain as long as you follow their requests. The out of towners need to still get a "red" beach sticker like the "green" local sticker and dogs must be registered with the town and have the tag. If you don't know the rules you shouldn't be going to our beach. Follow them and you won't be bothered simple as that. I have been going to that beach for over 18 years with friends and never had an issue. Responses like yours is why we hate out of towners that can't follow the simple damn rules.|

|mack0092||I have had a much different experience with Duxbury. I've been going for a few years now and never had a complaint. The booze policy is loose and I also bring both of my dogs (pitbull and english mastiff) and I have never had a problem. Also you do not have to be a resident of the town. I just purchased my 2013 beach sticker and so did 3 of my friends who are also non-residents. No complaints from me and its always a good time on the beach!|

|Babasnoopy||How is Duxbury? We moved to Hingham last summer, and Duxbury would be really easy for us to get to. Is it as much "fun" as the Neck, i.e. loose booze policy, dogs, etc?|

Yup,Sandy Neck.I think it's still their? Every year it changes.Stone content varies.PLOVERS RULE!! Yrs. ago they would shut down the beach cause of crowding and PLOVERS.Recently areas are staked off with machine gun nests operated by the summer help.It gets very crowed.I believe it's not the only non resident beach to wheel on? Checked a couple vendors on FLEA-BAY for the hunting stickers.NG.I think it would be a hot seller?Duxbury's got'em:
