Huh, I wouldn't have thought that... I haven't lived here long, but most people I've talked to said it's been pretty mild the last few winters. It's already melted from our yard. Oh well, there's always up north!

Same here in Commerce / Novi... not much of a winter this year, but I am looking forward to putting the soft top back on. I had to put the hard top on early (September, right after the Bundy Hill trip) because I was going out of town, and I didn't want the Jeep parked at the airport for a week with windows that unzip.

kisportolt yeah the storm we got dropped up to 3' of snow in some areas, and they had to shut the highway because there were up to 12' drifts that cars were driving into. M28 was shut down for two days before they could get it cleared.

+1 on the lake effect Snow

went weeling back to the well for fresh artisan drinking water today
the fun part is its fluffy snow and easy to push your way threw
any were from 3-5' deep here up on the county line on seasonal roads

Here... Here

Still waiting for the money on my totaled pickup. T-bone an SUV that refused to stop back in Feb 3rd. Now my Jeep has become the daily driver, but I'm not totally complaining. Other than buying gas for it, costing $45 to $50 per tankful - topped off of course. With the new tires it's doing quite well. Steering is still somewhat squirrely though. May be just the way Jeeps are.

Got about 4" of new lake effect snow over here this weekend. Went for a drive this afternoon on the back roads.

Tomorrow I get the new heater core. Be nice to get at least a little bit of heat out of the vents. I got cardboard in front of the radiator. Helps the engine warm up faster, but didn't do much to getting any heat out of the vents.

kisportolt of course it snows the night before we have to get up at 3am for our flight to Vegas. needless to say the 8 inches of snow cancelled the flight, but we got on a later one. bummed I'm going to miss the fresh snow, but I'm sure Vegas will be worth it

wxjeep I had fun this last weekend. Drove down the dirt roads over to Lake 14. The road to the public access was not plowed. So I drove only so far in four wheel high and my Jeep just spun the wheels. Shifted in low range and it clawed it's way to the lake with ease. There's about a foot of snow on the ground then. Couple other ice fishermen were out on the lake.
