The decals have already earned me the title "quick as lightning." I think doin those things would complete the package lol

Wesboy For sure - I was going to suggest testing an 'inconspicuous area' - but I see there isn't one.

I peeled off the '4.0L', 'wrangler' and 'Sport' decals on my 97.
Initially I noticed a ghost image but no-one else did till I pointed it out. Now I don't notice anything.

Mine's dark green though.

I can see a hint of the 4.0L decal in your pic.
Maybe the 'wrangler' and 'sport' decals are also still there - under the lightning bolt

Would pealing back a small portion give a good indication to the extent of any fading that may have occurred?

Wesboy Nice pic

Wait till it gets a bit warmer and heat up the decals with a hair dryer (or heat gun) - it will make it a LOT easier to peel them off.

Hey guys. Just got my first Jeep the other day. It's completely stock right now, but I definitely have plans to upgrade in the future. The first thing is to get rid of the lighting bolt decals the previous owner put on... (any advice you have on how to remove those would be greatly appreciated). Here she is at my grandparents' as the snow was comin down.
