hbgirl ^^ yep, I know all of that ... buuuuuuuut I still don't think it's a bad idea to let the OP edit their own post.

1. Less waiting to update
B. Less work for mods
3. Less scrolling through countless "bump" posts just to see if there has been an update within the thread itself

And I'm pretty sure it wouldn't disrupt, well, anything, as far as the board itself goes. But that's just my opinion!

tabber02 a. PM a moderator if you'd like to update your listing. we have the ability to allow you to "re-edit" your post

b. if you're selling more than one thing in your thread... it's a good practice to update it once in a while, with the items that are still for sale and the items that have sold. that helps the buyer, the seller, and lets the moderation team know that there are still active listings for sale in the thread.

c. once something sells, it's very helpful if you can post "sold". then we know we can archive the thread... this ensures the people looking, are looking at valid sales, not expired sales.

thanks!

hbgirl @HelenaAG: is this possible?

CJinPA I agree. I often get pm's asking about parts that have been sold. If I could update the original post with a list of items that have been sold it would eliminate a lot of wasted time for the person looking for the part as well as my time answering pm's about parts that have been sold. Its frustrating for both the person looking for a part as well as the seller.

Post Editing - For Sale section

Is it possible to have the For Sale section's "post editing" time limit of 30 minutes removed? It would make it much easier to just update the OP as things sell, prices lower, more details come up, etc., since that's the post most people will refer to rather than all the replies/bumps.

Just wondering
