Fun sized Ok thanks for the tips. I hope after all that, it stopped the leaks for you

4angels Well, first I ordered mine from Autozone, 29 bucks no shipping. I comment that because some manufactures may be different from others? Anyway, word of warning REMOVE THE VISORS FIRST!!!! Or if like me your an idiot you cant figure out why the frame wont fold down after all the bolts are out. DUH, the visor frame overlaps the plate on the rollbal attaching point. Yes I can admit when I do something stupid.

THe real problem seems to be the new seal is thicker than the original or the original had compressed a whole bunch! So it is a struggle to get the frame back enough to reattach the roll bar.

Also I suggest tightening the floor and rear bolts on the roll bar mount before beginning. I think mine may have been a little loose so when I really pulled on the windshield frame to tighten the front it may have shifted the bar a little. So at the end of the day the top of my windshield frame is about a 1/4 inch forward of where it should be for the doors to line up properly. I ran out of time last night so this weekend I think I need to loosen everything, close the doors and use a ratchet strap to shift everything into place.

I am sure others know far better than I what went wrong here but that was my experience.

I need to do mine. I'm tired of my speedo fogging up in the rain and wet feet. What made it such a struggle? I'd appreciate any tips you have for when I decide to tackle mine.

badweatherbiker scored a set of old 31's on Ford rims yesterday for 150. They were not dryrotted and cracked and had about 40% tread left but you could tell they were sitting in the garage for a while. slightly dry but better than slicks, got them on yesterday and it rides like a different vehicle. I also got the timing set changed out so it is back on the road for now, runs like a new motor! no more low speed hopping and motor timing is right so she runs smooth!

Yes, that is the #1 Mod, +10 bhp. I tightened up all my coolant hoses. They must have contracted a bit with the cold weather. I'm just glad it's not peeing coolant and leaving it's mark everywhere I park now!

TigWizard Sprayed my diamond plate rocker covers with bed liner. Treated the rocker rust with por-15, and made temporary patches to cover the damage until spring, when I can do a proper repair.

My 4 banger sits well below the optimal engine temp to long to get the cab heat going well, cardboard speeds it up. The radiator that's in mine is way to big for that engine.
