Here's another option that may work for you. Drop you VIN number into the field on this web site and see if you window sticker comes up.
Use your VIN number to get Jeep Window Sticker

This is the way I have seen it explained.
Either one would be 3.73's, 4 prong wiring, 2" receiver and the sway control program.
Mine appears to have been ordered as 3.73's with Auto transmission and then "Tow Package" was added to complete the set. My build sheet list them that way. And later in the list the Limited slip rear shows up as well.
But I found all this for certain by going to the Owners site, creating a profile with the VIN number and then I could see the original build configuration and options.

For 2012 / 2013. There is a trailer tow package and then there is a max tow package. Only the max tow package includes the 3.73. However some dealers order the trailer tow package and the 3.73 as separate items. Costs an extra 100 to do so for 2013.
If you have stock wheel and tires and hit ~2300 rpm @ 70 MPH then you likely have the 3.73.

|Chrimbler||Or you could jack up the back end, rotate the tires one time and count how many times the drive shaft rotates. A little over 3 times = 3.12, a little under 4 times = =3.73|

If you go to Jeep.com and create a profile, you can enter your VIN and get your build sheet.
Also I have a 2010 Sport with a towing package = 3.73's

|nycenglish||My 2012 Altitude came with max tow which meant 3.73. The window sticker should show both max tow and clearly state 3.73 gearing.|

What Gears Do I Have? Tow Package?
Technical question here - how can you tell which gearing a JKU has if I don't have the build sheet / window sticker? My understanding is that if it has the "Max Tow Package", good chance you've got the 3.73 gears, but is that always the case? Somewhat confusing as well, as just because it has a trailer hitch doesn't mean it has the "Max Tow Package", right? Are there any other visible signs to know if you have the "Max Tow Package" or the 3.73 gears?
