Peepers There should be cold full, and hot full marks on the overflow resevoir. Fill to which ever one is appropriate.

Powerman06 Ah ok. I knew the level in the bottle changed warm vs cold. I didnt know if I filled it when cold if it would overflow since it rises when warm. Also good to know.

Patrick H As long as there is coolant in the reservoir when the engine is cold, the radiator itself is full. I keep my reservoir @ the full mark when cold, so it's above the full mark when hot.

Alright so just keep it under "Full" when adding and I'll be good. Thanks for that.

Noob question on coolant

So i have the right coolant (Zerox G-05) and distilled water ready to add to my system since I have a very slight leak from the radiator. Manual tells me to check the level when its running and warm, but never specifies when I can open the bottle to add more safely. Dont want to learn this the hard way so, when are you supposed to add the coolant mixture so that you can measure it right and not overfill? When warm and running, or cold? Thanks in advance.
