Wattapunk An SYE would be way overkill and unnecessary for a 2.5" SL and 31" tires. Heck, a 2.5" SL would be overkill for 31" tires. Nevertheless, install the lift first and see if you get any vibes. I would go the MML or transfer case drop route if needed. Add a 1.25" BL later for 33" tires. You don't need the SYE.

00falcon I'm running a 2.5"Sl, but didn't even try it with out the TC drop.

I read to many horror stories about bust transfer cases from to much drive shaft angle, that I didn't want to risk it.

Mine is mainly off road, so it's flexing lots.

I will be doing a motor mount lift shortly so I can remove my mml.

Sye later on... Much later on...

(I know... If you go looking for horror stories, you find horror stories)

Jts04sahara Are you running a transfer case drop or anything?

csteele I have that life on my 01 TJ and I don't have an sye on it. Im not doing anything big with mine 99% DD. So unless you are doing nothing but off road I think your fine. You won't need to do anything but the lift and different wheels to fit 33" under it. The stock wheels just don't have enough backspace on them.

2.5 and sye

Hey guys. I'm looking @ buying an Ome 2.5 for my jeep. However I'm not really wanting to do a transfer case drop or a mml. I've read that a sye isn't needed until you go over 3.5". If I install the kit and get some vibrations would it cause any ill effects to install an sye. I know if I install the sye I have to have atleast upper adjustable arms. I was looking @ the currie 8 arm kit. I will more than likely install adjustable track arm in front also. But my main question is on the sye and just 2.5 lift. I'm never going to run over a 33" tire. As of now I have 31s. If I decided to upsize to 33's ill just add a small bl. Thanks guys
