zfender14 That happened to me with shackle lift. I took it off and it went away. I could be the springs are just stressed and when the shackle tries to swing to compensate the grade it makes a popping noise from the stress or rubbing against the frame. It never caused damage or problems for me, I took them off to get a real lift but thats not to say that you have exactly the same thing happening to you.

popping noise?

I have a 1987 YJ with a 2" lift (shackle lift). I have 32's on it. There is a popping noise that occurs when I pull on even the slightest grade at an angle, like pulling into a driveway. If driving on a dirt road, it pops a lot more. Any ideas? It sounds like it is under my feet.
