Not directly, no--there is no character in the VIN which reveals the color of the vehicle. However, if you enter the VIN into an appropriate database, you can then find out what the paint color of the vehicle is.

TJspeed In the driver side door jam is the paint code. Mine is PYH

And yes you can by the vin.
