You can always mount the winch behind your bumper. Several ppl have done a hidden winch mod or you can mount the winch on top of your bumper

ShaunWV I plan of picking up an ENGO 9000 winch. The bumper is what is causing me fits. I suppose I don't need to keep the factory fogs. I am just "suspicious" of those bumpers from eautogrilles. I have already chopped my factory bumper and made it a stubby.

Came in to say this.. The front bumper is shown here 07 12 Jeep Wrangler JK Rock Crawler Front Bumper 2X D Ring Winch Plate Ready | eBay , but its a mid widith and not a complete stubby. They also have a straight front stubby that doesn't fit the factory fog lights http://www.ebay.com/itm/07-12-Jeep-W...e7e03b&vxp=mtr. Either one will be in the 330 range with free shipping. BUT, you gotta be careful ordering from these guys. A lot of stories about horrible customer service and wrong bumpers being shipped. I personally had a good experience with my buys.

Many winches are listed on quadratec for 300 flat and you can get free shipping from them. Smittybilt, superwinch, rugged ridge...

jadmt yup it is possible just need to take a sawsall to your stock bumber, contact one of the vendors that sell Engo winches ie rockridge or northridge or one of the others in the vendor section and go to harbor frieght for the winch mount.
This stubby cost about $60 for the Rough Country end caps but some don't put anything on the ends.

Is this possible?

Am I crazy? Is it possible to pick up a stubby front bumper, with grill guard/hoop, factory fog cutouts, winch mount...aaaaaanndd.. an 8000lb winch, for $675 shipped?

Surely there are some decent budget stuff out there somewhere. I have been searching and reading and reading and searching for months. I am beginning to think it is an impossible task.
