You might want to look into a S&W Cage they sell a cage add-on for $199 thru the dash. I have a TJ and S&Ws cage, I love it, went together nicely, I know they have on for the YJ as well. S&W is a Race car company. here is there home page.

OP- Very nice job on the cage add-on, nice work! I like the speaker boxes too, might have to do something like that in my TJ, my front speakers blow.

FyrFyr I researched the same builders you did. I have my jeep totaly torn apart for a rebuild. I bought some 1 1/2" square tube and ran it from the floor in the stock cowl brace. I used plates at the floor to spread the load. I welded it in so it became part of the tub. near the top I cut a 45 degree angle and brought it to a 3/16" plate in place of the stock front speaker. I then used short sections of 2" square tubes welded to the 3/16" plate to make the cage "perches". A single 5/8" bolt ties the cage "A" pillar to the cowl. I turned threaded bungs and welded them into the cage for the 5/8" bolt. Let me know if you have more questions.

Gilcano Sweet, I was researching about this "cage tie-in" for YJ's and nobody have one. The fabricators have kits for CJ's and TJ's but not for YJ's. Genright tie-in kit is too expensive for $299.00, Poison Spyder is $185.00 and the others like BTF, etc. does not have a dash-tie-in but a bar all the way to the floor. I was thinking about do my own like the one in the picture. Can you elaborate about your dash-tie-in?
Thanks

YJ cage add-on

I just finished my add-on cage kit from KOZ Off Road. I modified the A pillar and tied into the cowl thru the dash. I have square tube welded inside the cowl. It's probably not as strong as full tube but, it preserves foot room. The speaker boxes will hold 4" rounds and a small dome light.
