You know I'll post up whatever I find. I've been back there about halfway once and it was all just river bed and soft sand. Next time I'm going to run it until I run out of river bed... I have a feeling that is where I will find the fun stuff.

Usually I go out in reaction to being bored... so I only have as much warning as it takes to throw my tools and e-kit in the back and get the kiddos ready. But I will definitely hit you up before I go, and I will try to give you a little more than 10 minutes warning!

That was the spot we ended up at. It was pretty late in the day Sunday, so we hiked it and scoped it out for next time.
And we will be running it next time. If you don't do it in April that is. Which I'll be missing. But even if you do, I want to try it next time we're all together there again. Whoop Whoop!!!

There are tons of individual obstacles littered around those mountains outside of loop. You could spend a full day going to each one! I think I have locations of at least half a dozen that I've come across...

WOKNROX Hey Joe...I'm not really going to be at the M&G persay....
I'll be at the meeting point for my group #4 and we'll do the run, then I'll get them back to Calico ....but I'll heading straight home after words.
The WOKNROX family be leaving first thing the next morning for Moab...Wahoo!

But I'm sure we can find some time in April to check it out!

I broke a rule, that bypass I was 80% certain and almost paid the price. My back tires dug in to the soft dirt and my fronts started to lift. I had to slam it in reverse to keep those tires down ... could have ended badly.

But I've got no pride, you know I would have totally took pictures if I flopped.

Steve not sure if I'll be able to make it out this weekend. Maybe we'll have time during the M&G!

The trail was a very narrow ATV trail that has some tight turns, 4 doors may have a hard time. I only made it up until the first obstacle. It was a bit much to take on by myself, the pictures don't do it justice. It did have a "bypass", but even the bypass you would need lockers on, trust me, I almost rolled taking it on. Very steep, tippy and loose.

To get there, take the 15 past Calico and exit north on Minneola. Turn left on Sunrise Canyon Road, set your odometer when the pavement ends and go 2.3 miles. There is a road that goes to the left just after a telephone pole, this is the trail. At .4 miles it will fork to the left, and another mile after that you will hit the first obstacle.

You can also get there from Mule Canyon Rd. The trail starts .25 miles south of where Mule Canyon and Sunrise Canyon Rds meet.
How about maybe next weekend we can hookup and che k this one out ...?
Ill let my biddy CJ Tom know about this one...he'll want to run it also..

Ur right Joebot..pic's never do it justice!
Keep in mind the this at a 40/50 degree angle and it's only the beginning of the trail...there is 3 almost vertical obstacles and a big waterfall that's a twin brother to the one on Odessa at the top!
