mlebwill Today we finished the weekend project that we started Friday night. Took the top off for the first time, roughed it up a bit, taped it off and painted the inside and got rid of all of that damn white. Friday night was was the front two freedom top panels, Saturday was the big top and Sunday was touchup and installing the Hot Heads headliner kit with rear side panels and Hushmats. We painted the top in a flat black that matched the rest of the interior extremely well and the Hot Heads came in Graphite to give it just enough contrast that it looks like it was supposed to come from the factory that way.

I love it, had the Hot Heads in my last JKU, but never painted the top. It gives it a very factory finished feel. Only thing I don't like is the smell, spray paint is going away but the adhesive from the headliners is really strong, but should be gone soon.

Didn't post these, but in the last two weeks we...

Installed the e-Autogrille mesh kit
Polly Filled the sound bar and sub woofer
Installed a receiver hitch and wiring harness
Added grab handles and weather tech floor liners
Loaded 22 GB of music to the hard drive
Took off some lame factory stickers and ordered better ones from Pixeldecals.com
Removed the hood spring to keep the flutter down

and have a gas cap door, sill guards and rear seat recline kit on order.

That is it for now, Ribs are almost done!!

Happy Easter everyone

Mike

New muffler and tip

I'm doing the same stuff as you at the moment. The Smittybilt tailgate will be soon. I did my exhaust a few weeks ago. What muffler is that? Looks like the same as the one I installed, Thrush Turbo. Also was it the sound you were looking for? I love mine so far.

Abattoir Had a gorgeous day here in Minneapolis so I finally decided to take the doors and top off. Felt so damn good to be free again after such a long, harsh winter.

Next time I post in this thread, I'll be sporting 35's, a 2.5' lift, and a re-gear. Just another month to go. Can't wait!

I like that a lot. Where did you get those inserts?

itssbs Serious brake pedal rattling. Dealer said was normal when compared to other JK's on the lot. Every pothole and bump caused rattling. Many members have complained abut this.

After reading reviews of hanging doors on the ceiling or walls, I have read that it will warp the rubber molding on the doors. With this cart I can wheel it around and all the pressure is on the hinges.

Dusthol I finally had a day to myself. Soo I washed the jeep. Then decided to remove the hardtop and install my off road heros soft top. Pain in the butt in 20 mph winds. But I like it.

No more rattles over bumps or washboard dirt roads!!!!!!!!

See photos.

Can you take a picture from further back so we can see the whole Jeep? I think I may like these.
