kywaterman check out the thread on this page titled albino rihno build he has a link in it to where he swapped a 4cyl to a cherokee 6, computers will have to be changed wiring harness will need to be modified as well. If yours is a stick shift the ax5 wont fit the 4.0 without getting a different bell housing and clutch. plus their not the stoutest. Idk about fitting his trans to the 4cyl. It is doable though and has been done many times. Theres lots of info on this forum just search through the threads this is all stuff ive learned from being on here reading

EricsRubi they will def fit each other as they both were outfitted with the 4 bangers and inlines... as for anything else, iuno

Engine Swap

Hey guys,
My buddy has a 6 Cylinder 98 Cherokee and I got a little 4 banger in my 98 Wrangler. He wants the smaller engine and I want a bigger engine. Do they fit into the other easily? And what other than the engine, trans, and transfer case would we need to swap? Any input is great! Thanks
