Redneck-yj Why was it cancelled and I need a trailer lol
02-15-2013 09:23 PM
ferninAZ Cancelled
02-15-2013 03:55 PM
ferninAZ If you are interested in going and are going for sure, pm me. I will give you more details.

Tom-JK6spds I gotta work Saturday, otherwise I might consider an easier trail, though I don't want to hold anyone else back from doing tougher trails. I'm going to be stock for awhile unless I can sell my Vespa and a few other toys.
I watched some YouTube videos last night too of some of the hardcore TM trails....not sure if I have 'proper muscle tone' for some of those...yet
Have fun

Redneck-yj I will for sure if I find a trailer to trailer my jeep. Don't trust my tires at highway speeds.
02-14-2013 02:49 PM
ferninAZ Anyone besides me and clull for sure going? Wanna get some numbers if you for sure know you are going. Thanks for looking.
02-12-2013 07:21 PM
clull05rubi Sweet sounds like a good plan to me
02-12-2013 07:19 PM
clull05rubi Nah not a big deal. I researched and it actually has limited slip also when the locker isnt engaged. Sounds odd but found several sites that confirm it. Im running stock 4.10 and its ok around town but its a dog on the highway and sucks down gas so im going to go to 4.88 cause im going to run flat fenders and 37's after i wear these tires out. The jk gearset is going to be sweet as its larger then my tj and its considered dana 50 strength.
02-12-2013 07:16 PM
ferninAZ Okay, so here is the plan for Saturday,
We will take Table Mesa Rd to the East of 17 for the "moderate" trails which I think anyone will have fun on and not have to worry about being left behind or breaking anything. After we return from that we will cross over to the west side of the road and head up Terminator trail. There is a lower and upper portion. That trail is rated a 3.5, so a little more than a dirt road but not buggy style. I did watch a video of stock rubicons doing the trail. We will still meet at 9am. See you all there.

ferninAZ Cool you figured out the issue. Sounds like no rear locker for this weekend. No big deal. What gears you running now?
02-12-2013 07:06 PM
clull05rubi So fernin i figured out my rear locker issue. Im 99% sure its just the pump. I removed the line at the diff no air removed the line at the pump no air hooked up line to front compressor rear locker engages. I probably blew the diaphram in the pump cuz i hear the piston working but no air is coming out of it. I found a kit that adds jk gears to a tj so im going to do that with a 35 spline rear chromoly axle 30 spline chromoly front and arb air lockers and 4.88 gears front and rear with twin piston arb compressor. Installed is gona cost me right at 5000 but i should have a really strong setup considering my front and rear axles are trussed and front c's are gusseted and i get the bigger jk ring and pinion gears. If all goes accordingly should be taking it into the shop for this next week

Redneck-yj My boss and 2 buddy's were just there this last Saturday and they said you don't need a permit to go there
02-12-2013 03:34 PM
ferninAZ After some research, the areas that we are talking about may fall into State trust land, so you need a permit to pass thru the area. I have one but not sure if everyone else does. If you do not have one, you must mail in the form before they will send you the permit. I am not sure if you can get one at the office in Phoenix but I would suspect you could during the week.
ASLD Recreational Permit
Here is the website with the info you will need.
We may need to hold off on this until we do some more research. I will update this until the day of the trip.

clull05rubi Guy i ran with last weekend said he had a stock 4door go all the way on terminator but he tested the skid plates and rocker pannels many many times
02-12-2013 02:48 PM
clull05rubi Chivo falls is down in tucson off reddington rd. Table mesa trails are rated between 4.0 and 5.0 and thats on a scale of 5. Most trails are difficult rated and will require assistance if in a stock jeep and body damage is possible to likely on all trails. Look up collateral damage which i know is 5.0+ and then theres upper and lower terminator which are 4 rated i believe and then anaconda is 4.5 i believe. And theres more but i cant think of them all. Research those few trails on youtube and youll get a good idea of what its like

Killer. We'll be there & see how far a stock 2012 4-door Rubi can get (white).

Greenjeepguy03 I would be interested in a table Mesa run... But won't be doing any hardcore trails. Ill have my young kids with me and don't want to scare them too bad.
02-12-2013 02:21 PM
Matt13 No lol. Committed to another trail. I might make Chivo falls Sunday if that's #72 in the book....do you know?

clull05rubi Theres actually a bunch of trails in the table mesa area. Some are pretty much buggy only or guaranteed body damage. I think the lowest rated trails in the area are 4.0 which terminator is 1 of those

Table Mesa 16 Feb

If anyone is interested in doing the Table Mesa trail, I am attempting to get some people together on the 16th of Feb. We are scheduled to depart at 9 am from the Cricle K at
4135 West Anthem Way, Anthem, AZ 85086.

If you have run this trail before and have any suggestions please fill me in. I have never done it and hope to get the most out of the trip for everyone involved.

Anyone is invited, I have read mixed reviews about what this trail is rated.
4wd is a must I am sure.
