couldn't of said it any nicer!

fattirewilly If it's a normal Jeep bought through normal conditions, my guess is you'll loose 50 cents on the dollar for every "mod" you add, unless you're modding it back to a stock condition, just cleaning up, fixing stupid stuff, and selling off the modded parts.

jp2611 A slight difference of opinion, but I don't really think this is what you are looking for. It kinda goes along with the "clean it" part that Dextreme suggested. Go Ape crazy and clean underneath and REpaint diffs, control arms springs whatever is showing signs of age underneath....but be careful that it doesn't "look just painted" and by the time you do all that work you MIGHT get and extra $500-$1000 if you are lucky.....only other way is if you find someone who wants your jeep but wants it lifted new tires and wheels and some other bolt in Mods and agrees that it would be worth a certain amount. You buy the parts and do the work and MAYBE come out ahead....but to go to all that work...I would keep what I got...unless I was going say from a YJ to a TJ or TJ to a JK...and if that is the case probably not gonna happen. GOOD LUCK!!

Cons_Table Flipping just doesnt seem practical in the vehicle world unless you pick something up for dirt cheap.

I am going to agree with Patrick^^. I also want to add, what exactly will it take for a jeep to be nicer than what you have...and be financially smart at the same time?

TJspeed If you have a $10,000 Jeep and dump 5K in to it you still have a $10,000 Jeep. Only way I see this happening is if you buy a bottom dollar POS and fix it for cheap and are able to sell it for higher retail.

Thanks. It has a hard top and a bikini top with it. Do you think buying a cheapy soft top would help?

Flipping my Jeep

Looking to flip my Jeep and sell it for a profit. I will then by a better, nicer Jeep.

Anyone have any ideas? I'm trying to think of ways to modify it, that will increase the value of it. Thanks.
