Spent about 30 minutes unsnapping these stubborn inserts. They're pretty much dry now. Waiting for daylight to put them back on.

|Jaxon1023||Yes they just snap in individually.|

Here's a bad picture of it. It was too dark out for me to get a better photo. The chrome bars between the inserts seem to only connect one insert to another - they don't connect together in the back. What do y'all think?

|Jaxon1023||Post a pic but they should just snap in|

|JJACEW||I just took a better look at the inserts. How do I get them out? Is it just a snap-on kind of thing? Or do I have to remove the entire grill?|

|JJACEW||Awesome. Thanks for the advice guys. I'll take some sandpaper to it this weekend.|

|KingTJ||Did mine a few months ago! Amazed at how they turned out. Like mentioned above.. Scuff em up really good (take off the shine), clean them very good, and finally paint away. Took me 3 to 4 light coats. Don't spray on too heavy or this stuff will run.|

|MGHDTi||I Plasti-Dipped mine about 6 months ago, driven through rain, lots of mud and dust and they're still going strong. Just another option for ya.|

Bedliner over chrome inserts/bezels.
I'm a new owner of a '99 TJ and I have to say the information on this website made it easy for me to purchase the right vehicle. So thank you to everyone for helping me find my first Wrangler!
Now that I've driven it for about a week I'd like to do some mods to make it my own. The first thing I'd like to do is use some Rustoleum Bedliner on the chrome grill inserts and headlight bezels. Do I need to do any prep work before I apply the bedliner? Or can I just spray it right on top of the chrome?
Thanks in advance for everything!
