NC Bear are you sure you don't have a 19 gal tank? Get your part number of the driver side of the tank and post it here.

If it is the 15 yes you can use the 19 pump you will just have to cut the releaf hose. (not the fill hose)

I bet you have the 19 tho...

1997 jeep tj fuel pump swap

Hi everyone I have a question, I have read that you can cut the hose off to turn the 15 gallon tank into the 19 gallon tank. Now my question is I need to replace my fuel pump I found the 15 gallon fuel pump is almost 60 dollars more than the 19 gallon fuel pump......If they are the same tank can I buy the 19 gallon pump? And what is the difference of the two pumps I really dont want to buy the more expensive 15 gallon pump
