BA93wrangler just put 31 in mud tires on my jeep (93) last week. drove six hundred miles of bumpy roads this weekend then went up a couple sand hills (did fine till i dug threw the snow and hit the sand... then sank like a rock... just too cold for mud still) but anyway i had no problem with rubbing but you will lose a few degrees of steering, big deal lol ps if putting people in back makes your tires rub your spring are probly shot, had no problems... wouldnt try to jump it tho

YJ Simpson I just got back from picking up my jeep where I had put on some 31's which were on a truck of mine before I sold it. I wanted to get them on now before the rush to get winter tires off....There is rub from the fender flare on the back passenger side. Tomorrow when it is light out, I will trim it up some.

I am a complete noob but with those shackles linked on ebay, are they easy to install? Thinking about picking up a front and back set. The listing says no hardware included, what nut/bots would I need and where would I find them?

Thanks!

just like my neighbor did, 31 10.50s on stock rims. they rubbed on the springs when he turned and tore chunks out of them till they wouldn't balance. then he hit a few bumps and bent a rear fender.
all because he didn't want to spend a few bucks to at least get a 1' body lift or shackle lift.
but its your jeep do what you want.

I believe it's $25 per axle. $50 to lift the front AND the back.

Nasher I got 31's on my renegade, no issues on or off the trail. Provide a nice amount of clearance.

I recommend TJ flares, if you don't want to lift.
They can be found used for cheap.
