|tim sommers||If i have to go to a rubicon to get all the xtras and black fenders, will the 3.73 get a lot less mpg than the 3.23 gears. What will do better in the snow/ice?|

|PStov98TJ||And if you're looking to do it right the first time (like I was), definitely call Dirk at dpg offroad, best decision I've made about my jeep so far (besides buying it of course). He definitely will hook you up with a great set up that will last a long time and won't let you down.|

|PStov98TJ||Do a google search and look at other pictures of Jeeps with 2.5" lift with 31's. I had 31's on there for a little and to me it looked a little empty. But not bad. 32's would look better. But I knew if I went with 32's I would've regretted it so I went with 33's and I'm glad I did but that's just me|

|PStov98TJ||I have the 2.5L as well and it's fine on power with 33's. I also have the 4.10 gears though. Here's some pics from different angles. Sorry they're all in my driveway. Haven't gotten a chance to get any offroad yet because I'm up at school and it's at home unfortunately.|

I have the exact same Jeep haha, '99 with the indestructible 4 cylinder. I don't suggest 33's with that motor without changing axles and gearing. 32's aren't as bad. I'm running a 3" economy suspension lift with 32.5x 11.5 and its a very good fit; enough flex and a comfortable ride. I ran 33's and only rubbed once. I got the full traction brand 3" economy lift, put it in myself and will vouch for it!

|PStov98TJ||If you want to run 33's most will recommend that you get a 1.25" bl and a 1" mml with the 2.5" lift. But look at the dpg Offroad website. The guy who owns it sets up lifts with OME shocks and springs. I bought his ultimate kit (comes with 2.5" OME lift, jks 1.25" bl and 1" mml, extended sway bar links front and rear, and jks adjustable track bars front and rear). He can tailor your lift to your jeep. I haven't installed the bl yet but it's fine for right now and I'm not sure if I will in the end anyway. I can post a picture of my jeep later if you want to see what 33's on just the OME lift looks like.|

|Philmycrackin||Oil/trans pan skid plate and gas tank skid. I recommend savvy for the tank skid. I went wheeling and dented both trans pan and gas tank. Could have ended up worse. Winch also good to have|

Opinions / advice needed.
So, I bought my first Jeep a couple of weeks ago. Since then, I've been researching and contemplating which customization route to take.
here's what I have:
99 TJ 2.5 (sorry....)
30 front axle
35 rear axle
I've done some research, and decided on an OME lift.
Thats as far as my decision making has gone.
I now turn to you guys for recommendations and guidence. I would like to keep her as street worthy and dependable as possible, while at the same time increasing clearance and off road capability.
I like the thought of 2" of lift with some 31's or 33's.
Lets say money is no option. How would you go about installing a 2" OME lift? I've seen the kit come in many stages. Which one is preferable?
What else would you do to do the job right. SYE? Other parts I haven't learned of yet?
Also, I will be doing all work myself. Aside from coil compressors, (which I already have) Will I need any other specialty tools/equipment?
