Is doing this process 1-2 a year good enough?
For regular washing just use car wash soap and then dry it?
How often do you guys do this?
I usually clean my cars once a month and detail them twice a year.

Lemon Pledge can be used to restore faded black plastic.
Bar Keepers Friend worked well to remove some mystery stains on a used motorcycle I bought that had been vandalized. I think it was dried egg.

|hypoxic1911||My newest trick: if you have a good coat of wax ( I use nu finish). The last step after rinsing off the soap is breaking out the leaf blower! Water rolls right off, And I use half the amount of microfiber towels to dry it off. Spotless. Of course, you appear slightly insane to the neighbors.|

In the beginning I'd put the top up, windows in, and doors on.
Now all I do, if anything, is just put the top up. I use a bucket of soapy water and a wash mitt to wipe off the rig and then spray it off with very low pressure water when I'm around the door openings or the tub. Inside may get a few drops in it but nothing major.

i cover up my seats up front with heavy duty black thrash bag & take off all the plugs & power spray everything point and shoot & watch everything go down the drain.
there is a catch, you have to take off your front seats every now and again for full detail as they will rust if not taken off.

|Steadybig||I always start with a bucket then wash the bottom half. then get a new bucket to wash the top. The bottom half t of the jeep has all the grime on it that I dont want to ruin the rest of the jeep|

I always start cleaning the undercarriage, wheels, and wheel wells. Then I start over with clean cloths and cleaner. I find if I wait to do the wheels last, I splatter junk all over my clean ride. Other than that, great write-up.
I'm new to the Wranglers though. Any advise on how to clean them with out the top.

I figure I might have to put a maintenance coat on them once a month but 4 wash stalls and I only need 2 gallons of WD40 so that isn't too bad considering the size of these walls.

How much do you need to dilute Simple Green, so that it's safe on painted surfaces? I would like to use it on my tires and wheels. My wheels are aluminum with a black finish and I don't want to mess them up or stain them.

|mcelopez||A cheap electric pressure washer makes cleaning a whole lot faster. You local hardware shop has them for about $100. The first thing to do is clean the undercarriage. Remove all foreign objects and then move to cleaning. Use the write up above for a detail job. Great write up!|
